I weighed myself today and the scale showed 95.8 kg! Which means I'm 1,1kg down and only 8.9kg left!

Exactly this! It's not slacking if it works. And this really does sound like a regular workout, so good for you!

I go to the gym 3 times a week. twice it's for aerobics (once with step involved) and once for modified pilates to engage the muscles and shape them a little. On days without gym, I ride my stationary bike and walk. Right now I allow myself two rest days, but I want to try and cut it to just one day without a workout.

Hi everybody! I'm starting at 96.9 kg and my goal for this challenge is 86.9 kg! So excited!

If you think you're not strong enough to not eat the "hips and dip" when you're family is treating themselves, why not fill yourself with water or foods that are high on fiber instead? It might help...

wow! Thanks so much for all the responses! It's so great to see so many diffeent logging habits and how different things work for different people. A mix of planning and logging as you go seems to be the most popular option here, with little estimating.

I eat everything left on my plate. Once it's measured and I"m in my deficit, every calorie is precious...

pepperoni pizza. skittles, swiss cheese....

I really want to try and accomplish that. Count me in!

Feel free to add me :) I found that having friends on here and seeing their accomplishements in my feed really motivates me.

Maybe I'll try that first and see how it works out. Thank you all for the suggestions!

So basically if MFP says that today's workout burned 480 calories, I still should log the entire hour, but just assume it was closer to 350, yeah?

I always need to have eggs ( fave breakfast food), carrots (for snacking) and tomatos for soup.

I go twice a week after work, sometimes I spring for another class on a Saturday morning, I have the classes spread out through the week, so my body has a moment to rest (my muscles aren't used to the exercise yet, it's only been 2 months). But I still try to get at least some exercise on the days I don't go. Though I…

When you cant catch your breath after running 20 meters to catch the bus (and you actually fail to catch the bus because you were too slow)

I... wow. I have no words. I have no idea how I would handle the situation if my own family decided to pull something like that. The only thing that comes to my mind to explain it (though I agree with the person above that it was pretty creepy) was if they, for some reason, thought you had an eating disorder or something…

Add me if you like :)

I tried it two years ago and quickly lost a lot. the change was remarkable, but when I slipped I slipped hard and got the worst jojo effect yet, gaining twice what I lost. Strict diets are simply not for me, especially when my family can't be on the same diet as I am (my mom's diabetic), so now I just count the calories…

When I was doing the Dukan diet, I was weighing myself every day . I could feel th obsession developing and that's not healthy, so I stopped. Now I eat all kinds of food and only weigh myself once a week at most. Usually every two weeks.

27 here!

I have only one festive dinner to "look forward to" and unfortunately here, there's a tradition of tasting every dish served, so I will have to have at least one bite of all 12 dishes... Thankfully 4 of those will be soups that are relatively low fat, so I'll just have to eat little of everything and probably add more…

I'm going to get myself bunch of new clothes including dresses and tops that looks terrible on me now with the belly fat. I'll get a tattoo I;ll get myself a new electronic gadget :)

Everybody need as much support during holidays as possible! You can add me :)

THIS. I can't even begingto say how useful that would be. Right now, I go into the database to check out the things I want to eat to see how many calories they are before I eat, then I have to go back to the diary to add them :/ Its silly.
-
I love your idea! Maybe I should print out something like that!
-
Oh! That's a brilliant idea! I should look for those on my next online shopping spree :) Thanks!
-
Thanks! I'm planning on combining it with other exercises, but not just yet. I don't have the stamina for it yet, bt I hope for that to change soon :)

I have a bunch of books I'm planning on reading while I ride. Especially since I don't have to look where I'm going (LOL). I want to ride at least an hour everyday, though I don't know yet if I'll do that in one go or split in smaller chucks of time. Plus along the way (once I don't lose my breath after two minutes of…

It bothers me a little, I have to admit. Even if its just a little over. It just motivates me more to keep under the daily calorie goal. Plus, I set up my exercise goals to 0 so I add everything - walking up the stairs, walking fast etc. My only criteria is that my heart needs to be pounding and I'm catching my breath at…

I work from home as well, I'm a freelance writer and dieting is tricky for me too. There are snacks for the rest of the family and sometimes I get really tempted. But like the other person here, I try to plan ahead and log food for the next day. During the day I can check what I can eat (adjusting amounts if needed)
