  • I would recommend going on Bodybuilding.com. It's great for people at all stages of fitness and even has workout plans. I'm following Jamie Eason Livefit. Add me if you like. I'm restarting today. my username is sisdunbar.
  • So this week I went on the Dukan Diet again and have followed it properly this time! As a result, I have lost 6lb this week! This morning I really fancied boiled eggs and soldiers so I found a really quick and easy recipe for bread. It literally takes 5 minutes to make. 4 tbsp oatbran 2 eggs 2 tbsp fat free natural yogurt…
  • Hi there! I too am starting over. I successfully followed it for two years and maintained my weight no problem...until I met my new man and overindulged in pizza and too much alcohol, I also dropped the pure protein day. As a result I put on about half a stone so not too bad. Anyway, I did 2 days of Attack, lost 4lb and…
  • Hi there! How's the restart going? I came off it for probably about a year and have gained half a stone. Starting again today!! Did you start from the attack again? I'm sure Dr Dukan says not to but I want to just clear all the crap I've been eating lately! How many days did you do, if you did?
  • I have read that too, ice baths are popular with athletes apparently. For me personally, I couldn't think of anything worse!! Lol!
  • I thought the same thing, there's no need for that and saying "no offence" doesn't make it any better. It is is offensive.
  • I've just read about a basketball player who died after an intense session and having a shower immediately after. Experts suggests a cool down session of at least 20 minutes per session of any types of workouts. Plus, you don’t need to shower into a very hot nor icy cold water. Either way would dilate your blood vessels,…
  • I agree! I have been following the diet since September last year and it's the most successful diet I have ever tried. The first phase is tough, the second, so much better as you reintroduce the vegetables and the third and four phase, easy! I lost over a stone in a month (no exercise at all) and kept losing all through…
  • I love my oatbran pancakes! It's best not to overcook them of course otherwise they do taste a bit cardboardy! I use fat free fromage frais, 1 egg and 3 tablespoons of oatbran. My favourite topping is Tate & Lyle Maple Syrup and 1 chopped banana! I looooove it! I am on the stabilisation Phase and have been maintaining…
  • I make an oatbran pancake (oatbran, 1 egg and fat free fromage frais) to keep me full throughout the morning, topped with some Tate & Lyle pouring maple syrup and a chopped banana.
  • I realised this when I bought the Maxitone Definity Shakes and Maxitone Sculptress shakes thinking they were the same thing. But you're right, teagirlmedium, they are different! One was a protein shake to help tone muscles, the other was actually a meal replacement shake (which is not what I wanted). There's more calories…
  • I set mine by doing the Jillian Michaels oxidizer test. This will determine whether you are a balanced, slow or fast oxidizer. Lots of interesting info too. Go to http://www.healthalkaline.com/WinningByLosingChap7.pdf. I am a balanced oxidizer by the way which is 30% protein, 40%carbs and 30% fat.
  • For me too! I'd love to have much more toned arms. I've only lost 0.5cm since January but I have noticed that since I started exercising in April and starting the 30 day shred a couple of weeks ago, they are looking more defined. So keep at it. As MustBeTheRows said, you cannot target specific areas but it should start…
  • Ian Somerhalder but also his character Damon in Vampire Diaries. I know I'm nearly 40 but it's my guilty pleasure!! Oh and definitely Jenson Ackles/Dean Winchester.
  • I was only supposed to stay on Attack for 2 days but I stayed on for 5. I experienced dizziness and terrible palpatations and I was so drained of energy, it took me ages to change my duvet cover!! But it passed as soon as I switched to Cruise!
  • The Dukan Diet pancake with sliced banana and maple syrup. Yum! Dukan Pancake: 13g protein 3 tbsp oat bran 1 egg 2 tbsp of fat free natural fromage frais Easiest pancake ever..nice with a slice of crumbed ham too.
  • Wow! Good on ya! How long were you runnng for?
  • I agree Silker! 40g is recommended daily isn't it? A good quality mature cheese is better than the low fat versions apparently too.
  • If you're missing bread, try making the Dukan Bread found on proteinweightlossdiet.net. It doesn't come out huge but it's lovely with boiled eggs and Philidelphia Extra Light Spread and if you cut it into 15 slices you can can have 3 slices a day! I eat the oatbran pancakes most days but it's nice to have something…
  • Hi! How's it going? Do you have a plan, like how long you're on Attack before moving onto Cruise? Might I suggest you have a look on http://proteinweightlossdiet.net for the Dukan bread you can eat on Cruise. You might need it when you start craving carbs. I loved it with Philidelphia (Extra light) spread on top and…
  • My son (18) and I always feel the need to complain about this type of thing too! I can't believe that people do not know the difference between the two, especially since it's so frequently used on diet sites! Another pet hate of mine is the word definitely. This has to be the most common misspelt word ever, everywhere!
  • Wow! Well done you! It's good to hear other success stories. Are you still quite strict about the Protein Thursday days? I swear by it and because I am on the Stabilisation Phase it's nice to know I can have the odd choccie bar etc without it hindering my weight. In theory by this stage you are supposed to eat as you…
  • It is at first but by the end of it, you've retrained how you eat thngs. I know if I've had a starchy meal at lunch time say, I won't include it in my main meal in the evening. You're right it's tricking your body into not knowing or adapting to your food routine. So later I might have a steak say with salad but no chips or…
  • Hi there! After reading your post, I thought I would tell you about my little journey on the Dukan Diet. Willpower is the first thing you need and you need to follow it completely, otherwise once you reach the last phase and start eating normally, that's where the dangers are to regain weight. Why is it going to cost you…
  • I found this on the web which is interesting. I'm certainly going to change the way I do things after reading this. Hope this helps, link is on the bottom. The ideal time to eat after a workout is within 30 minutes to two hours, when your body is ready and waiting to top off its fuel tanks to prepare for your next workout.…
  • I'm 374 over and that's without my evening meal!! But it is Easter Sunday so I'm not worrying too much. Luckily I follow the Dukan Diet which now allows me (after following all the phases correctly,) two celebration meals a week. That means anything you like which includes a starter, main meal, dessert and a glass of wine!…
  • I weigh in everyday because I am following the Dukan Diet, but I do only take Friday's as my overall weight. It's quite normal for my weight to fluctuate over the week but as long as on Friday I'm on track, it's okay!
  • Or is that April?!!! Must be Sunday of April. Bloody American/English dates! Haha!
  • Are you still following the Dukan? I noticed your post was dated January.
