I'm interested in any ideas also. I have constant stomach upset and sometimes i'm not able to get food down.

As an athlete, wouldn't losing muscle do more harm than good?
-
^THIS. I just had this discussion with an ex of mine. He was advising me on maybe using lower weights and highering my reps for weight loss so that I don't get "boxy". After my own research I found that lifting will not make you gain weight, it will ensure that all the weight loss you have is not muscle and is indeed fat.…

Food is an addiction to some. I always tell people that. It may be easy for you to say no to a donut but my behind is sitting there like a crack fiend mentally figuring out how I can buy it and devour it in my car before I get back home. All evidence gone. It's a struggle every day but if you tell yourself you're worth so…

My first mistake when I lost my weight was focusing on calories in/out and not paying enough attention to nutrition itself. I think generally, we have it backwards. Once you focus on nutrition and its role in your body and properly taking care of your body, the weight will come off the way it should. Always burn more than…

I've had recent surgery and have not been able to work out since May. I have still lost weight. Just keep the dieting up and you will do fine. Believe it or not, our bodies do burn calories healing itself.

Focus on your diet.

Maybe for guys its no big deal but we don't pee like men. That would be trickling all down my leg and stuff *shivers* :noway: :noway:

Used to use a watch one, was ridiculous having to stop every few minutes and push on the buttons to get a reading. <---very inaccurate. Then I bought a chest strap one (I believe New Balance), which was easier to use. I'd say if you want a more accurate reading go with a chest strap.

^ that.

Amazing Story and PROOF that lifting weights will change your body! So happy for you

^^^ All jokes aside though, find a nutritionist for your eating habits and let the trainer train you in the gym. Have an idea of what you want to do and tell him to show you how to do it effectively. I hired a trainer just to show me proper form on the lifts I wanted to do. Made his job easier and made it worth the money I…

Eh. My friends a large woman. Has a man who likes it.

Lose it slow, but sometimes it's just plain old genetics that do you in.

Your best bet is to ask your Doctor what is safe for you and your baby. Everyone is different. I've seen people on bed rest, I've seen people at the gym lifting and doing cardio like normal. It is all dependent upon your health prior to the pregnancy and now. Congrats by the way!:flowerforyou:

Tell them theyre doing every exercise wrong. Then proceed to take on the role of personal trainer and advise them to do it completely wrong. Walk around the gym grabbing their weights and re-racking them while they're in the middle of alternating sets.

Okay, that Hanna Flexion thing...NOT feeling it. I did the one where my legs are at "table top" position on the side and flexed up with head and hips to try to meet my knee. I am NOT feeling it. Any one else?

....sorry if i go against the grain but OP..... Focus on whatever is giving you the push to lose the weight and get healthy. A lot of people are going to tell you its childish or do it for you but I know, personally, that if you have a goal in mind (no matter how stupid or shallow it may seem) it makes you 10 times more…
