I had a Fitbit Flex - found it to be so inaccurate in measuring steps, stair counts, sleep...I finally just tossed it in the trash. I wouldn't waste my money on this one.

all the research I've seen says NOT to exercise on your fasting days. The 5:2 plan can work well - some of the health and wellness companies actually promote it.
-
Your ticker says you want to gain 5 lbs....If you want to lose 5 lbs. you should be aiming for .5 per week.

I suspect a troll since there is no Anchorage, UT!
-
OP - your most explains why there are so many struggling overweight people. So much BS in the world, so little common sense, and so many "experts" who have it all wrong.
-
You can save your money by eating real, healthy food. I know too much about Herbalife to be a fan.
-
I second this one! No texture, chemicals, can't see why any one would eat them.
-
That's the reason I no longer use trendweight - it was just too far off to do me any good.

I HAD a Fitbit flex. I found it to be so inaccurate that I just tossed it in the trash. You are correct that it doesn't measure steps if you don't move your arms - so shopping, carrying, etc. never registers. I also found that it wasn't accurate on stair count or sleep tracking. To me it was an absolute waste of $100.
-
If you love them - eat them! They can easily be accommodated in a healthy diet. I have a bagel or two every once in awhile!
-
Barring any medical condition, my guess is you aren't eating/drinking enough. Without your diary open, it's hard to be sure.
-
No reason to do this. A calorie is a calorie regardless of when it is eaten. Do yourself a favor and don't set silly rules for you to follow. Eat when you are hungry, eat as close as possible to your MFP calorie guide, and move as much as possible. That is all you need.
-
You are currently in the healthy range of BMI. In addition, you may want to recalculate your BMR - MFP has it at just over 1,000 calories. My advice would be to think twice before deciding to focus on losing weight vs. sculpting your body.
-
Awesome!
-
It's all about the calories in vs. calories out - it doesn't matter when you eat them. If you are in a calorie deficit you will lose weight - same goes for gaining, eat more than you expend.
-
Don't worry about all the amateur "experts". If it's working for you and you enjoy it - keep doing it.
-
Ten more pounds puts you at the top of the healthy BMI range. However, if you like your look, feel great, and are healthy, IMO there is no reason to force the next ten pounds.
-
IMO these are the nastiest and poorest shake on the market. Eat real food - you'll feel much better!
-
It all depends. I've lost over 120 lbs and yet when I look in the mirror I see the same person. I don't "feel" any thinner. My best guess is it will take at least 20-30 lbs before you start noticing a difference and another 20-30 for others to start noticing. Regardless, of when you notice the loss or when you start to…

Weigh it on your food scales...

If you follow the CICO theory, you are only worried about calories and diet soda fits into your daily allotment very easily. If you are working towards health - as a nurse you know that the ingredients in diet soda are far from healthy.
-
Intuitive eating has a lot of benefits. Listening to your body, feeding it what it needs, and eating only when hungry provides a great plan for some. The standard MFP CICO version doesn't look at that kind of eating plan as wise. If it works for you - go for it!

Ham, potato salad, deviled eggs, green salad, and strawberry shortcake for dessert.

The calories for the pineapple seem a bit low (I didn't look up the calories count)...other than that it looks pretty close. Looks like a great meal!
-
No friends, no profile, no pics...I smell a troll!
-
I think Quest bars are disgusting...so many others on the market that taste better and have some texture. To me...all Quest bars start to taste the same since they have to differentiating texture.
-
I use it as a treat with an apple when I have a lower calorie day. Or spread it on a piece of toast for breakfast. If it fits your calories, it's a great food in your wheel house! I noticed a couple of people mentioned PB2 - I bought it, I tossed it. I think it's disgusting!
-
Regardless of how you refer to your food it's either clean and healthy or it isn't. We all eat from both sides. Kind of a silly post IMO.
-
I didn't see it so I can't comment on it. However, in general, I hate underwear pics, boob pics, etc. Not a prude - just don't want them on my screen.

The one stat you didn't give was your height. Is it possible that you are already in the healthy zone?
