Elana's Pantry posted a menu, if anyone is looking for additional ideas. http://www.elanaspantry.com/paleo-thanksgiving-recipes/

I am not sure if we will be home for Thanksgiving but I have been dreaming of my menu. turkey mashed sweet potatoes brussels sprouts with bacon big green salad the cranberry relish I have been making for years. It has 1/2 cup of sugar in it but I think I will try it with honey or coconut sugar…

5'9" and want to be in the 150s. At that point it will be about lowering body fat % more than pounds.

Exactly the same for me. I have one son who still doesn't like meat but everyone else is so much more enthused about meals now. Oh, and the bacon grease, for sure. Yum.

Yep, one of the better paleo recipe resources out there.

Food is my best friend. :-(

It is in my egg white protein powder. I don't think it has hindered weight loss.

Bulletproof - Le Roux. Have a great race!

I just shake the coconut milk can. That mixes it well enough. And, yes, nutritional yeast is different. It was staple of my pre-paleo diet, it tastes slightly salty and cheesy. It is delicious, to me anyway. I need to find and convert this amazing pumpkin sauce I used to make: pumpkin, sausage, broccoli in a cream sauce…

Whale, when I lived in Norway. Haggis.

I am imperfectly primal but my diary is open. Feel free to add me!

Ditto. We do turn off and drain the faucet to the outside and lawn sprinkler system every fall as a precaution.
-
No jealousy, sorry, but glad it was a great experience!

That is awesome! Wish I could get my husband onboard 100%. Celiac runs in his family (his older sister was dxed with it 25 years ago): certain things convince me he is gluten intolerant and would feel great if he were paleo.

I do prefer my banana bread with coconut flour (paleoproject's, in particular) but I have made it with almond too (guessing it was Elana's) and it was fine. Again, a personal preference, but I prefer the blanched almond flour over the rougher almond meal flour.

I got a FT7 as a gift a couple weeks ago and I have been super happy with it. I did quite a bit of research and it seems to be the best intersection of features for the money.

I am only 2/3s of the way but I don't feel more confidence yet. My skin is not rebounding at all, despite BodyPump and other strengthening, and I am so embarrassed by my arms especially. I wear the same-now huge-shirts to avoid my arms being seen. Thankful we are headed into fall and winter. Hoping that with time and more…

I love cycling! It is a passion my husband and I both shared early in our relationship but kids happened so it fell by the wayside. Anyway, we recently rediscovered the fun and cycle as a family. We have the kids going with us for fairly long rides - we did 20 miles last weekend. We have been coming up with all sorts of…

We have 3 cats currently. The senior citizen (16 on October 7) is Mookie, 25lbs of love. He is white with black spots. He is one of the great loves of my life-I call him my first son.. His sister died two years ago of cancer and it was devastating I hope he has a few more years. Anyway, he is sweet-natured and tolerant of…

To be honest, I don't see it in pics either. Beginning to think I have some kind of body image disorder. The only difference I notice are bones (hip and shoulder, especially) becoming more prominent.

I am primal too, but the only dairy products I eat are butter and Greek yogurt.. Cantarella's post below sums up how I feel perfectly. :-)

Yes, absolutely! Especially because you have a handle on what "the rest" entails-continuing to find new fitness goals, especially. So many times in my yoyo dieting days, I would get to, say, a size 12 and the celebration of feeling good would involve slacking. You do look amazing in your new pic. You should feel so much…

Vanity sizing has gotten crazy the past few years. In high school, I weighed 150 - I am 5'9" - and I wore an 8 or 9 (and I thought I was enormous, sadly). Currently, 4 babies later, when I am 170 I wear size 8. When I use a size estimator, it says I will be a size 4 when I reach 150 again!

Everyone looks amazing! Thanks for sharing. Unfortunately, my face is one place I would like to see changes that I haven't. Maybe it is my age...it is definitely my face shape. Still hoping though and still inspired. :-)

This fire roasted salsa recipe is amazing. Leave out the fresh jalapenos if you like it less spicy but the chipotles are important. http://blog.bountifulbaskets.org/2012/08/18/a-trio-of-salsa/

I was trying on skinny jeans yesterday. I had them on but needed to exchange the shirt I was trying on too (for a smaller size!) so I stepped out of the dressing room to ask for help. The young woman said to me, "Those jeans are too big. You know that, right? You've got too much room in the butt and the top of the thigh.".…

Happy birthday, uspp223! I scratch my head sometimes wondering how I can possibly be over 40. Time flies when you're having fun, I guess. I feel like I have a lot left to do that falls into "younger person" category - for example, we would love another child - before I get dragged into middle age. :-). Anyway, hi everyone.…

This is so useful-thx!

One of the many meatza recipes out there? You could make a quick fresh tomato sauce and load up the veggies. I have ground beef defrosting too and I am making this one tonight with homemade roasted salsa and adding extra veggies. http://www.theclothesmakethegirl.com/2012/01/19/mexican-meatza-ole/
