Almost 5'6 and currently hovering around 161....having a hard time breaking 160. I'd like to be 140 by July and ideally 130-135, however, I haven't seen myself at that weight in a long time, so I will reassess at 140.

How many calories were you generally maintaining while running? I love running, but i struggle with my calories because I am always extremely hungry. Also, how many miles were you running a week? Oh...AND...you look amazing!!!

A little late to this thread. 25 and about 20-25 pounds more to go....

Just started on Monday - so three days in. Took my before pictures and measurements, so I am hoping that by the end of this I can share results. I'd like to lose about 20 pounds in general and I know that these programs aren't designed as a "weight-loss" program, but I am hoping I can use it in addition to eating good to…

Starting Week 2 today. Skipped one workout last week because I was suffering from the 4 glasses of wine I splurged on the night before. However, like a few other folks - I incorporate running into my daily workout as I don't want to lose my running endurance. My body hurt like crazy the third day and I am hoping I can…

I have to be honest....I find myself breathing heavy and not being self-conscious about it because all my peers tend to wear headphones. Its when i stumble across someone who isn't wearing headphones that i become insanely self-conscious and try to monitor my breahting until i pass him/her. Sounds crazy, I know.

Completely agree. For the most part I am pretty private about it. I just say that I am "eating healthier" but I am definitely aware of what goes in and what comes out. I switched recently to writing it in a journal because I have been busy lately and tend to burn out trying to make sure its all written down online as well.…

I am not a parent nor do I suffer from those systems, however, I just wanted to say that you are a beautiful woman and you should keep your head up. The fact that you are acknoledging this issue publicly and not suffering in silence is very refreshing. Keep a smile on your face and take it day to day and best of luck in…

Are they? I have bought a few soy yogurt alternatives and end up leaving it in my fridge because I am paranoid that I won't like it. Now keep in mind I used to eat yogurt on a daily basis before I learned I was intolerant (allergic) to dairy. I have always enjoyed soy milk...is is similar?
-
I have an intolerance to dairy. TRUST me cutting it out (even 85%) has made me feel so much better, the bags under my eyes are gone, and my skin is breaking out less! As for wheat and nuts...can't help you there :( Those are tought to give up. Stay positive, there are a lot of alternatives out there.

wow!! incredible :)

I agree...I used to be very self-conscious about my pear shaped body. However, as our celebrities have begun to embrace their curves...so have I. I love my pear shaped body as I find it feminine as well :)

Big milestone!! You should be proud of yourself :)

What an incredible accomplishment!! You look great :)

I would suggest finding a class locally that offers a Vinyasa style. Someone earlier in the thread pointed out that Vinyasa yoga is a fluid method and that would probably be the best way to become acquainted with yoga. I have been doing it off and on for years, but typically when I am trying to get back into it after a few…

love mushrooms and olives...but peas...ew I hate peas. And somehow growing up all my friends would have peas at their houses for dinner and I had to politely take a little but I don't care for them at all. I also don't like water chestnuts, strange texture and not a huge fan of the taste. I love pretty much everything…

Had the EXACTLY the same experience growing up with my mother, binged the same way you did, and am on the same path of holding myself accountable as you are now....couldn't have said all this better myself!! The one think I learned is that being deprived was my biggest downfall

I was always very active growing up...went skiing/snowboarding during winter, played soccer and lacrosse (fall/spring respectively), ran around outside during summer...and then I injured my knee during a soccer tournament and that was that. I all of the sudden HATED working out, but LOVED the idea of working out. I have…
