My favorite is when he quotes Forrest Gump in the middle of the Yoga workout. Classic. Btw...off the wagon last night for V day...filet mignon, garlic mashed potatoes, ice cream dessert...oh so good. The way I think about it, I bust my *kitten* in P90X so that I can splurge like that every once in a while. Bad news is, I…

How is it possible, that of all the crazy workouts in this thing, I think I sweat the most during Yoga X? Getting better at it all the time. That last sequence of the first 45min is still brutal, though...with all the standing on one leg business. Did Crane for about 45 seconds tonite...did Royal Dancer for the entire time…

Nice to see so many continuing to update this thread. I am on day 38 and going strong. I am down to 226 from 240, all my pants fit better and I have gained a belt loop. In fact, some of my pants bunch up around the back of my waist. In short, this thing is working! Keep the updates coming. Off to do Back and Biceps + Ab…

Cruising right along through the first week of Phase 2...did legs and back and ARx tonight. I'm on the rode, so had to do everything with a resistance band. Actually was a nice change of pace. I really hit a wall tonight for some reason...toward the end of the workout and all the way through ARx, I started to get really…

Well, first day of Phase 2 completed. Was supposed to get up this morning at 5am and do my first Chest, Shoulders, and Tri routine, but...hit snooze instead and ended up doing it at 10pm. Let me say...:noway:  ...I can barely lift my arms right now. So many push ups. One arm push ups in the middle of the workout?? Is…

Oh, man. I start phase 2 tomorrow and now I know what I have to look forward to! Tony would be so disappointed in my Super Bowl binge...I will be working extra hard tomorrow out of self-loathing. Gonna have to get up and do it around 5am as I have dinner plans tomorrow evening. Wish me luck!

Hey, everybody. Been a few days...crazy work...blah blah blah. Still bringing it, though. Coming to the end of my recovery week for Phase 1. I did X Stretch last night and it felt good, but I am really sore today...my shoulders are actually in some pain. I think I overdid it a bit on Kenpo the night before last. I find my…

Um, yeah...recovery week, my *kitten*. Core Syn is brutal! Awesome, but brutal. I don't know what I was expecting, but I thought 'Recovery week' meant I would be chilling out, stretching, taking it easy, etc. Maybe a DVD of Tony just sitting and drinking some coffee, eating a few oreos. Not so. This is a great workout with…

Day 2 of my recovery week today. I was feeling guilty about not lifting yesterday until I did Yoga last night and sweat like a pig! I forget how much of a workout that is. I did all moves except those last ones at the end of the first 45min where you go on one leg for all that time...still need some breaks during that one.…

Oh, don't even mention those yoga poses...my wife walked in the other day at the exact time when I was trying to get into that pose where you put one arm behind your back and put your other arm between your legs and try to grap your wrist. I think her expression was "what in the hell are you doing?" :embarassed: Needless…

I struggled with that bit myself, but ended up buying everything from the BB site. There are cheaper sites where you can buy just the DVDs without the books and you can buy a knock-off pull up bar, etc. For me, it came down to the fact that I was either going to do this, or re-start my gym membership...at $35 a month (for…

Gotta tell you, Christina, I was thinking about you during legs and back yesterday...not in a weird way...while doing wall squats. I couldn't stop thinking about the fact that you said you did them all for the first time and that made me hold on to them instead of standing up and resting. Just goes to show how we can…

Good blog you got going there. I enjoyed reading it. I too look for small victories in this thing. Mine yesterday was doing every rep of Ab Ripper X for the first time...still haven't held the wall squats for the whole time...that's next. Thanks for the motivation!

Been a little bit, but I'm still here and still cranking it out. In week 3 now and have only missed 45 min of Yoga so far. I think I'm starting to see some results around my belly and in my chest and arms. Official Dr scale said down 7lbs today (with clothes on) from where I started (with no clothes on). I am still excited…

Thanks for the replies. I appreciate it. I didn't think they were too bad, but I hate that feeling that I may be dooming myself unknowingly... Couldn't agree more on the idea of being too rigid. Did that last year. Deprived myself of everything I love to eat for a few months. Lost weight, did well, but once I let it go, I…

There are two things that I eat that I consider to be indulgences...a big bowl of Cheerios with skim milk for breakfast and an apple with reduced fat PB for a snack. I'm just wondering how far outside the definition of 'eating clean' these two things fall. FYI - I'm doing P90X and trying to eat high protein, middle carbs,…

Back on track today. Diet was good and got in Chest and Back and AbR X. The recovery drink is awesome! I hope it really is good for you, because I love the stuff. Do you guys have any thoughts on drinking it late at night after a workout? The last couple of days, I haven't been able to workout until after 10pm. Is it bad…

Okay, here's my advice...don't travel. Let's take stock of the last few days. I left town on Thurs, but managed to get in Legs and Back before I left (switched days since I needed the equipment for this workout). I stayed the night at my inlaws' house on Thurs night and it took me all of about 10 minutes to break my…

Legs and back done. What a killer. Those wall squats are deadly. So far, 11 days without missing a workout. Feeling great. Diet is a struggle on a daily basis...not following the plan to the letter, but have cut calories down to about 2000-2400 and fat intake down to almost none. No fast food and no junk. Man, do I want…

Still going strong. Actually down 10 lbs in the first 9 days. Was too busy to get my workout in today, so have to do Shoulders and Arms + ARX tonite after my son goes to bed. Heading out of town tomorrow through the weekend, but think I can still get all the workouts in...switch Legs and Back to tomorrow morning since I…

The chin up bar that Beach Body sells (as well as others) fits inside a door frame. You just put it in the frame and you can take it down whenever. No drilling, etc. I am working out in the guest room and the door to the guest bathroom is right there, so it works out fine.

Good to hear you are finally off and running, GFR. I was out of town yesterday and today, but got chest/back and AR X in early yest morning and am off to do Plyo right now. Recovery drink should be getting here soon. Jess, I don't recall being assigned a coach when I ordered...where would I have seen it? Btw...went from…

I have a protein shake immediately following my workouts. I have some of the recovery drink on the way and we'll see if that makes a difference. I do find, though, that a protein shake satisfies my ravenous cravings right after working out pretty well. Welcome.

I think I am going to do the same. Tomorrow is supposed to by Stretch/rest, but I am traveling on Monday, so I think I'll do Chest and Back tomorrow and take my rest day on monday...really interested to see if I am as sore next week. Keep us posted on your week.

Agree with you on this one...this is a great workout and it allows you to pick up the pace a little if your heart rate is not staying up. I am covered in sweat.
-
Man, I can't believe how long it's taken for you to get yours. You are gonna be in shape before it ever gets there!
-
Just as I suspected, Legs and Back was brutal...but awesome. Sweat more than any other workout, I think. Then, just when I thought I was done...I looked at the sheet and noticed I had to do Ab Ripper X. Yes! I will not be walking tomorrow.
-
I am sitting here wondering how in the hell I am going to get through Legs today when I can barely walk...My hamstrings and butt muscles are sore still from Plyo! Hopefully the warm-up is good and I will be loose and ready to go when we start the lunges. Can't wait.

I just did yoga for the first time and guess what! I hate it. Please tell me it gets better. Don't get me wrong, I sweated my *kitten* off at times...but I was frustrated at not being able to do the moves, or not knowing what the moves were, or falling on my butt. And 90 minutes is a long workout. I actually cussed…

Alright, you talked me into it. I ordered some of the recovery drink. We'll see how it works. Thanks for the advice. Off to do Yoga X for the first time...
