Poor Misplaced. Once a Texas, Always a Texan. Do you remember that song, Come Back To Texas? Makes me laugh.

I did lose a lot on weight once on Atkins (low carb diet) I think you lose a lot of water weight at first, but also you are just eating less calories in general, especially once you get SICK of eggs, meat, and Atkins bars/shakes. I was living on coffee after a while. If you love low carb, do it, but I feel it is not…

I'm guessing the low calorie diet caused you to lose a good bit of water weight. Now you are regaining that water. The weight you lost on the super low calories diet was not real fat loss, so don't feel bad. Pick up where you are and eat a reasonable calories level to lose real weight (ie - lose fat)

Our cat's name is Dot - sometimes we call her Dottie. Love her, a very sweet natured cat. She's a calico.

true but it is amazing what Peter Jackson did to make LOTR. Especially choice of actors for each part. Love Elisha Wood as Frodo and Sean Aston as Sam. Liv Tylor is amazing in her part as well.

I can put these movies on just to hear them in the background. My favorite.

When I used to wear glasses (before lasik) people would stop and tell me I looked like Sarah Palin. I'm politically Conservative so that's okay by me.

Who care what McD cost. Of course it is more expensive if you eat out. But it's all a trade. If I don't buy cookies, I can by good fruit & vegies. If I am eating less in general is should be less expensive over all. And long-term, much cheaper than by-pass surgery.

I feel your frustration. Get mad that I can't just relax and eat whatever. But I realize I need to make new habits. People like us are food/craving focused I think and have to unlearn that. I go online and google weight loss questions and find blogs about weight loss to get my mojo back. I like this blog by "2 meal Mike"…

1000 IS too low. Also I encourage you to find a measly 30 minutes to do something a little more intense like running (or a mix of running and fast walking) Throw in some strength training (dumbells, kettle bells, sit ups, push ups, squats. That will make a difference and allow you a little extra calories. I have always…

I'm old school, but however asked however pays (if it is a "real" date, that is)

Curious - how did you like Insanity? (lol) Seriously. I've never done any videos and thinking of getting one.

CrossFit is an expense/splurge in our budget. But in my case it is pretty much a necessity I feel. And way cheaper than a personal trainer. Love the camaraderie of the group. Can't beat it. I need the accountability and social aspects to keep focused. In the long run it is cheaper than staying fat/unhealthy. An investment…

I'm 5'2" and almost 48 years old. Not sure what my goal should be since I am also strength training (not to be muscle-y or anything) just to get as strong as I reasonably can and then maintain. Also age may keep me a bit bigger (slower metabolism) Anyway, I am hoping for 122-125, but just want to be at most a size 8.
