I've seen all the hard work you have put in during the last 6 months! You've been very dedicated and you've pushed through any hurdles! I love that you are recognizing that hard work. You deserve it! AWESOME job :)

My jaw literally dropped! Great job. You look hot!

I'm not always perfect with my calories, but MFP has help me learn how to eat. My diet is much cleaner now, and I'm eating more mindfully. In the past, I would eat beyond the point of fullness, and not plan for special days or events when I know I would eat out of control. My calories were way too high, and now I am much…

You look beautiful! Congrats on LOTS of hard work, and good job on sticking with the breastfeeding for a year :)

Macros are the marconutrients: carbs, protein, and fat. She needs to keep her macros at 40/30/30 since she is breastfeeding. She needs protein and lots of water for good milk production. (I second the greek yogurt too.) Milk and cheese are also good sources of protein.

You could use seaweed sheets instead of just lettuce for more nutrition.

Oh, he's so cute! I've had 2 Russian Blues, and they are sweethearts! I hate seeing overweight pets. So glad he is getting healthy

I have the same morning routine. I have found it works for me. This way I can track every pound lost, rather than waiting for an "official weigh in." If I was a pound down on Thurday and my weight flucuated a pound up on "official weigh-in Friday," then I'm disappointed that I couldn't celebrate that one pound down. For…

I second this! I hated when people would give unsolicited advice when I wasn't ready. Joining MFP is a huge step in the right direction. Let him find his own way, and focus on things he might enjoy. For instance, my husband *hates* to exercise. But if I tell him its a "race", he gets unbelievably competitive and all of a…

I'm 5'1" and MY ideal weight is 121. I have a long way to go before I see this number, so I don't want to use my weight as my goal. (I don't want to be a slave to the scale.) Instead, I want my goals to focus more on healthy eating and exercise; the weight will follow. GL!

I use a potato peeler to skin the eggplant first, then slice the eggplant very thin. I dip it in the egg wash, then dip it into Italian bread crumbs and parmesean - just a little bit, doesn't have to be covered. You can add more seasoning if you want, but there will already be some in there if you use Italian breadcrumbs.…

Thanks for the suggestions! I watched the videos and printed the recipes. Appreciate it :drinker:

It was definitely worth reading! Thanks for the break down. It was refreshing :)

 This made me smile. Happy for you!

Before I saw your second post with the confirming what I already saw, I looked at your profile pics and could tell you were heavier in the purple dress (although, you looked beautiful!) than you were in the brown tank. So first of all, the 20+ pounds IS noticable. I have a very similiar body shape at 5'1". (I guess that…

I second this! Once you start to get the hang of things, your tastes may change. Don't be afraid to try new healthy foods or revisit something you think you didn't like before. There are all kinds of ways to hide food and trick yourself into eating healthy. Check out some recipes to get ideas like Deceptively Delicious or…

Fantastic story! Consistency is key; very inspiring!

I like the middle one. If you don't like the necklace, treat yourself to a new one for your success! If the dress isn't big enough, youc an you take it to the seamstress and have her adjust it. If there is no material to let it out, she can put little V's in the dress under your armpits.

I started by stopping the weight gain! Then I started tracking all of my food. Once I was more mindful of my eating, I started listening to my body. (Was I really hungry? Was I just bored? Stressed?) Once I figured out how to eat to lose weight, I started exercising. I'm to the point now where I'm working on getting in…

Absolutely amazing! Good luck with running your 5k! I would love to be able to do that. I know it will happen some day.

I always want to know "Why?" or "What's the other side?" So I found this at http://www.carrotmuseum.co.uk/babycarrot.html According to Randy Worobo, an associate professor of food microbiology at Cornell University, you need not worry. He says carrots are not preserved in bleach but rinsed in a chlorine wash that's…

One I tell myself: I'm not bored, I'm actually hungry. One I hear from others: You're not fat, you just have big boobs.
