  • OP, don't come to Baltimore... hon.
  • Seems like setting an age limit means you just don't want to do anyway. So why not just say " No, thank you. can I help out some other way?" or even "No thanks, I hope it's lovely anyway"
  • Hitting a child is showing that they have outsmarted you and you resent them for it.
  • Cardio = weight lifting for your heart.
  • Don't fool yourself - most decent homemade costumes take way more time than what you have now. If you asked this in august I'd say you'd be cutting it close. If you're really worried about the money, you can always find cool stuff at the thrift store to put together as a neat costume. Buy the costume! It sounds like you're…
  • NPR just did an aritcle on using rice wraps as a sandwich substitute - I find them to be so light and almost sweet I can't compare them to a sandwich at all! http://www.npr.org/2012/09/25/161752021/a-roll-for-all-seasons-wrapped-in-rice-paper take a look!
  • If I were a kid and you handed out carrots - I'd throw them out, maybe in your bushes. Or better yet, they'd go rotten sitting in my candy bag for weeks at a time while i was trying to make the candy last. Get candy you don't like, or if you like all candy or will be desperate to eat it anyway, have a hard workout that…
  • Three things: Stop setting up a type - setting any kind of standard beyond "treats me how I want to be treated" is getting too specific. Seriously. Volunteer - meet people doing things you care about, even if you don't get a date you'll make some new friends and be doing something worthwhile Be in love with yourself - what…
  • I've been to 10 weddings in the past 2 years. I can tell you a couple of things: Weddings without booze need to give people a heads up Weddings with booze that you pay for will be talked about in a bad way Weddings with booze that is free will be remembered well even if the guests are drunk enough to forget.
  • visit: bustygirlcomics.com it covers a lot of these issues very well, and humorously
  • Scotland the brave
  • Franwins - Yes we have no bananas! Lol, actually we have bananas. That's a good idea though, I shall do this thing =)
  • Jetabear10 - Thanks, I think stretching and protien will help me the most =)
  • yobhcir - Heh, I kind of hope it's not exercising too much! After almost 25 years of despising exercise I'm finally getting into it! But hey, maybe I'll take it easy at the beach tomorrow and count it as a "rest day" =D
  • stfuriada - The heel I'm not sure about. It feels like my tendon is really irrritated - much like the tendonitis I used to get in my shoulder and right arm (that sucked, let me tell you) - but with some stretches and soaking in a foot tub it's usually better by morning. though I am pretty bad about replacing my shoes in a…
  • Hope - Yay fitness! My fat butt has been exercising regularly for a couple of years now, but I've only recently gotten really serious about it. Congrats on going from sedentary to active! Sometimes it sucks. Like when you're sore every day =P Thanks for the encouragement!
  • Linda - Thanks, I have only just recenlty started really varying my workouts; treadmill jogging one day, bike and rowing machine the next, elliptical the third, weight groups differ every day. But I will absolutely try to get more protien - meat got a bit too expensive when my boyfriend lost his job. But now we can do…
  • Gotcha. I just recently changd my workout routines a couple of weeks ago and started getting the soreness just about every day right around then. So I guess I'll wait a couple more weeks? I like the idea of cutting the volume, but I think that's my laziness coming back *^_^ so I'll wait it out a bit longer before I do…
  • Shouldn't this be a "troll call"?
  • Yay! I know the feeling about being overwhelmed- but that burns calories right? You're doing great! lost 12 pounds, working out, being able to chase after your kids, that's already pretty awesome =)
  • Some considerations: More fruits and vegetables - wider variety too. Check your sodium intake, most of what you've got is good but you may be ballooning yourself with the sodium from the processed stuff. How active are you? 30 minutes a day or an hour a day? an hour 3x a week? On your more active days eat more of your…
  • My fault: over eating and not exercising, gained a lot of weight Genetics: my inability to lose weight with any speed. For example, my uncle who survived throat cancer had chemo. Most folks when they have that treatment can lose up to 50 pounds - terrible diet option, btw - he lost 12. This is the uncle on my mother's side…
  • 40 D/DD here, I've been pretty happy with these people, they have lots to choose from: http://www.titlenine.com/category/sports-bras-and-undies/medium-high-impact-sports-bras.do That's the page of higher-control bras; expensive but worth it.
  • Thanks for the suggestion! I was thinking about it, but now I'll at least have to see what they've got to say.
  • I do eat back my exercise calories - but I still feel a bit woozy from day to day. On days I don't exercise, I don't overeat. It's a very strange place to be in.
  • Thank you! I think I may just have to up my calories a bit, maybe then I won't feel so woozy half the time.
  • About $400 - 500 a month for 2 people in the Baltimore/annapolis area. This includes toiletries, paper products and cleaning products, plus cat food and litter, and enough food to have a dinner party at least 2X a week.
  • Don't know, too busy eating it. =)
  • The caramel coconut fudge ones taste like Girl Scout Samoa(s) cookies!
  • Echoing others here, reducing carbs that have less nutritional value is a reaosnable approach. Substitute whole wheat for white, less sugar in your coffee or tea, simple steps really. I find that eating only carbs in the morning leave me hungry all day. Try having something like yogurt, eggs, or bacon to supplement the…
