Sounds good! I think I would have to freeze a few because having cooked eggs in the fridge for a while kinda of grosses me out.

I noticed!! If you skip the cheese and get a low-fat/low-cal dressing it won't be as bad.

You gotta do BBQ! Like ribs.. mmm.

Wow, that's pretty messed up. The only thing I can think of is concern and jealousy are mixing together. But truly, its your body and you can do what you want with it. And if you are a nurse your know your nutrition.. so they should mind their own business!!

Start with a mini goal. Drink 5 glasses of water. Don't drink soda, or limit yourself to 2x a week. Include a fruit or vegetable into a meal. Say no to fast food, or limit yourself. Anything less than you are doing now.

I went through this for a while. That's all I wanted to eat, but there came a point where my stomach would hurt so bad. I took a few days off and incorporated veggies... and low and behold I felt better. Then, I looked at the calories of all of that junk and realized that I could have fruit, salad and chicken which had the…

Sounds good. However I have heard that left over steel cut oats aren't that great the next day. I don't really want to add many more milk to them,.. although I will if I have to.

Is there a way to "half *kitten*" the making of steel cut oats? I know they are much better for you but popping the 1 minute quick oats in the microwave is so much easier.

1 cup of plain greek yogurt, 1/2 of fresh blueberries and a teaspoon of honey. Also, coffee with this super addicting Bailey's creamer which I can't wait to be done with. :ohwell:

I watched this show last night (FIOS on demand). The people on the show loose like 60lbs in 3 months and "get back" at people that have hurt them by embarrassing them in a setup situation. The two women in the first episode looked great, but their persons of revenge were not impressed. I guess the concept is kind of cool,…

I'm in grad school writing my thesis paper as well, HOWEVER you are correct. I have plenty of time. I know this. I just haven't tried yet. Reading all of these posts (yourself included) has been motivating. And I'm sure all of you will be glad to hear that tonight will be my "first" walk for exercise.

Yes, actually I've become a master at excuses.

Great Idea! I've tried Zumba. I'm horrible at it and i don't enjoy it. I did enjoy a spinning class I took but I was too out of shape to keep up.

Great advice!! Thank you!

I have a friend that is really motivating but she's always pushing me to do something intense, meanwhile I'm not even used to walking! I guess I have to find my own pace. Thanks for your help.

That is kind of what I wanted to do. Maybe losing weight will be a motivation to workout! Thanks
-
This sounds manageable. Maybe I just need to develop a routine and stick with it! Thanks!

I'm always looking for a friend especially someone to motivate me to eat healthy! Adding you! ;)

I started off with Sparkpeople, but I generally use the MFP app. The SP app is horrible!!! SP does have some neat recipes, meal suggestions, and nicer profiles for members but I think MFP is lean and mean and the app is great.
