And Remember...it takes 3500 calories to gain a pound of fat, any other gain is water to help digest it, etc. Drink a little more water and know that the healthy foods you ate is helping your body stay healthy as you exercise :-) You are in CONTROL, don't let "IT" control you!

Dedication...just keep going!

I continued counting my calories as well, not to lose weight, but to keep myself from "eating for two". I think that's a great thing to do because gaining too much weight can cause risk factors during pregnancy as well. It's hard not to get in the "oh well, I'm pregnant" mindset, but it sure pays off afterward too, just do…

Doesn't lack of sleep have to do with craving carbs/sweets too?

Yes I got it after having my son in 2010. My OB sent me to a physical therapist afterwards because I noticed it hurt when I ressumed exercising and I couldnt do sit ups or crunches, they gave me easy (boorrrring) exercises to do in which they strengthen your core to make your body use your ab muscles differently which…

You could on WeightwWatchers, but could only re-eat a certain amount of them in a day..
-
Bank the rest for another day this week that you may be hungry. It's worse to eat just because the numbers say to I would think.
-
Ah ha! Thank you!!

THE BEST THING TO DO WHEN YOURE SORE THE NEXT DAY...IS TO DO THE WORKOUT AGAIN THE NEXT DAY. I PROMISE. I love all of Jillians DVD's. I'm on D4 of her 6 week 6 pack DVD. Wow!
-
Are you eating enough? You should be netting at least 1200 calories, and drinking at least 8 glasses of water.
-
First week results............................. 2.4 lbs!! I am excited because I have been at a plateau for months now -- woo hoo!! Good luck to all!!! Happy FRIDAY!
-
THIS!!! When you exercise your muscles retain water, which doesn't show a weight loss on the scale. You should google about muscles retaining water, it'll make you feel better about the scale; and make you understand why you need to drink LOTS of water.

I know you mentioned your knees, but; I say you should try Jillian Michaels 30 day shred. (there's 3 levels on the dvd) Watch it on Youtube and try it. You can start with 3 lb weights and move up as you feel like you need to. If you stick to it, you will notice definition, more so if you use at least a 5lb weight. Be sure…

Hey! I got through level 1 - all ten days. I just finished second day of level 2. I log it as 160 calories. In the past, I have always aimed for 1200 calories then would eat the additional that I burn with exercise, staying right around 1200 by the end of the day. After reading, I have upped my net goal to between…

I'm on day 12, I just did day 2 of level 2...whew! My scale hasn't moved much, but I can see the changes in my body for sure. I took measurements so hopefully in about 2 more weeks I will have results on the scale and the measuring tape! Good luck to you!!
-
If you're aiming for 1200 calories, be sure you eat all of them and eat back your calories that you burn from exercise too since your calorie goal seems to be low.

I set the portable dvd player up and some snacks for the kids as soon as I walk in from work. I do Jillians 30 day shred because its a nice quick hard workout, then go on about my evening. I know other moms that workout in the mornings. I don't think I could! I say try the best you can and if you dont have time just focus…

I just did day 10 of level 1 this morning! In the past I did get bored with it, but this time I was actually focusing on doing every move, every time, and it went by faster for me. I also wrote how I felt, when I needed a break and other notes about my workout in the "exercise notes" portion of my Diary, and used that to…

Eat your calorie goal, all of them and never net under1200 calories! Even when you exercise, the net still needs to be above 1200 calories
-
Welcome!! I recommend going to the Forum for General Diet & Weight Loss Help and read the "LINKS IN MFP YOU WANT TO READ..." and "NEWBIES PLEASE READ ME.." posts. ALOT of information, so make sure you have time to read and get out your pen and paper so you can write down important points as they pertain to you or your…

Thanks all! I still feel like Chipotle puts more than 4ozs of rice in their burrito bowls BTW lol So I only ate half of the bowl.

7/6 - 140.4 lbs

I agree with your calorie method 100%. I think the debate depends on your calorie goal, always eating at least a net of 1200 calories... So in that case you may have to eat your exercise calories. But if your calorie goal is 1900, you wouldn't really need to eat your exercise calories unless in puts you below 1200 net…

That is so awesome! Keep it up!! How many calories are you consuming on days you exercise/ don't exercise?
-
I am going up and down the same 2 - 3 lbs since I started on here a month or so ago. I can't figure out how many calories I should eat. I only want to lose 8 more lbs. So as long as you're losing - I would not get discouraged! Just keep it up!!
-
THAT IS AWESOME! YOU LOOK GREAT! What has your net calories been throughout your transformation? I'm trying to find my groove to lose about 8 lbs.

I started just putting mouse in my hair and scrunching it because I was tired of having a greasy scalp area. My hairdresser recommended the dry shampoo but I haven't tried it yet.

I'm 5' 3" and 139 lbs. I feel my best in the low 130's when I'm exercising and feel toned. I don't want to be skinny, just feel good in my jeans :-) I would aim for 5 lbs and stay there for a bit to get your body adjusted and go from there. Every BODY is different
