  • I stumbled on this recipe for chocolate peanut butter fat bombs when I first started low carb four months ago and I'm not tired of them yet! They really hit the spot for me when I want something sweet. I altered it slightly, using vanilla extract rather than syrup but otherwise follow it pretty closely. Quick, easy and…
  • I have been eating LCHF for just three months and I've lost 30lbs. I like to cook and try new recipes and my dairy is open. I need more friends, so anyone can add me!
  • I am following a LCHF diet. Three months in and I've lost 30lbs. Always looking for more friends, add me if you like!
  • Most people on MFP are doing their own thing. The groups are just set up so that members can find people following similar ways of eating or who are in a similar situation, for information and support. You can be a member of many groups. Anyway, our goals sound similar- I am doing LCHF but not keto. My calorie goal is…
  • Not new to MFP but new to low-carb. Started at the end of May and have lost 13lbs so far. I try to stay around 50g carbs a day. Definitely could use some friends eating similarly, so anyone can add me!
  • I found I couldn't handle many carbs in the morning (even once I was on insulin), so my go-to breakfast ending up being a sausage, egg and cheese sandwich on a whole wheat English muffin. That gave me good numbers and kept me full and satisfied. It's tough... Hang in there!
  • I am also 28, started here last year with 100+ lbs to lose. Had quick success losing about 40lbs but kind of hovered for several months and more recently gained back about 10. Trying to get my s***t together! I struggle with eating (mostly during evenings and on weekends) and finding time to workout, but I log pretty…
  • The Killers--When You Were Young
  • Ate at Cracker Barrel yesterday (not my choice) and was pleased with their newer lower-cal options...
  • I felt the same way as you when I first began but have accepted that I need to just find what I like and what works for me and kind of take everything I read with a grain of salt. Get to know yourself and your eating habits and try to accommodate them, eating more of the good for you stuff and less of the not so good. I…
  • I love cottage cheese and have since I was a kid, but I can totally understand why some people don't. I eat mine plain. My favorite is to use it as a dip for pretzel snaps (though the sodium is a little ridiculous...). Yum- it's soo good!
  • Welcome to MFP! I am a planner by nature so I understand the need to want to plan out meals. And although I am progressing very slowly, planning ahead is one of the major factors that have contributed to my losses thus far. I don't have any specific suggestions as to what to eat. I say eat what you like! If you are just…
  • This looks awesome! Will have to give it a try. :)
  • On the meal plan for tonight is chicken sausage sauteed with apples, kale and white wine, served over polenta. One of my hubby's favorites. :)
  • I have a BA in both Spanish and French and an MA in Spanish. I started undergrad as a biology major since I had graduated from a science and math charter high school, but quickly realized that I actually loved Spanish and was good at languages in general (I also took several courses in Mandarin Chinese, Italian, Japanese,…
  • Another vote for Optimum Nutrition....I like the Double Rich Chocolate. It is the first brand I tried after getting a recommendation from a girl at my gym and I have stuck with it. Tastes pretty good mixed with just water or milk and it is really awesome in smoothies. Just bought a 5lb. container from Amazon for $54 which…
  • I work three days a week from 8am-5pm (or later) with a looong commute (1.5 hours each way), and then I hit the gym when I get home, so in order to eat healthily, I rely on bringing enough good food to keep me full all day. Here are some of my strategies and go-to's: -simple but nutritious breakfast that I can prepare and…
  • I like this thread, because I too have continued to marvel at how expensive food is getting and am wondering WHY I am spending so much on food when it is just me and the hubz plus two cats. I use as many coupons as I can and I used to get away with $75-80 a week, but lately it is more like $100-120, more if I buy non-food…
  • This is such a good question to ponder. I know I won't do it forever...I know I won't be able to because it makes me insane. Logging does work for me, is the only way I've had success, but I can get a bit obsessive about it and it becomes hard to maintain. Once I get to my goal weight I would hope that by continuing to…
  • I have been on here four months and lost just over 30lbs. I started to feel different and notice my clothing fitting differently about 15lbs. in I guess. I am doing running and lots of strength training. The one thing that helped me actually SEE a difference was photos. Before you get too far in, take some start photos and…
  • I love avocado and can eat it most of these ways (except plain, strangely enough). Lately though, my favorite is to make it into a salad dressing: blend it up with some lime juice, cilantro, jalapeno, garlic, buttermilk, salt and pepper. We eat a big garden salad topped with corn and shredded chicken with this dressing for…
  • Totally awesome NSV! Way to go! :)
  • The only box cereal I eat is Kashi Go Lean. It tastes great and is pretty nutritious for cereal (13g protein, 10g of fiber and only 6g of sugar per 1 cup). I usually add some fresh blueberries and sliced almonds for extra crunch and this keeps me full until lunch.
  • I only eat plain, nonfat Greek yogurt and what I usually do is place some berries in a bowl and top with yogurt, sometimes I add honey. It will separate a bit by the time I eat it, so I just mix it all back together, kind of mashing up the fruit, and it tastes yummy. Sometimes I also pack a baggie with a bit of sliced…
  • Wow!! I so admire the attitude of fabulousness that you exude in the before AND current pics. You look so confident and are beyond beautiful! I just added your blog to my Google Reader, too. ;) Keep on rocking!
  • bump my doc just recently said that it looks like i may have pcos and I am wondering some of these things myself...
  • Another vote for the Enell for the really well-endowed. :) I wear a G cup and have two of them...as others have said, they are not cheap, but they are well worth the investment!
  • Even before starting logging here I have been planning meals one week in advance for a while now. I hit the local farmer's market on Saturday morning, get some ideas from whatever I buy there + what's in the fridge/freezer/pantry, then make a shopping list based on store sales/coupons/what I'll need for those meals. It…
  • I lost quite a bit of weight many years ago and my boobs got...bigger! Been progressively getting bigger with weight gain (duh). Not sure what will happen when I lose this weight, but I am a G cup and would seriously love to get to at least a D. We'll see...
