I love cold coffee and I've given up on creamer and any type of sweetener by mixing my vanilla protein powder into cold coffee. It's like drinking a good for you frappuccino.

I have a similar question but pertaining to the difference in weighing food before and after cooking. Are the caloric intake the same or different when recorded weights are raw and cooked?

I started out just wanting to lose weight but I guess Bri_Becq is right. I think my ultimate goal has changed to be cut and big with low fat percentage no matter what the weight is.

This is all seriously great info. I should have mentioned I've been doing a lot of cardio to lose the fat in preperation for Tough Mudder in 3 weeks. After that I'll focus on increasing my amount of weight lifting. I'm sill very proud of what I've accomplished so far. It just motivates me to keep going and so do yall.…

So you're saying just stick with the lifting and don't worry about numbers and I'll get to my goal? The 20% deficit from TDEE sounds like a good idea. I don't know my fat %, I don't have any calipers.

I completely agree wth this 100%. ggg I used to drink nothing but Bud light then switched to Bud select 55 to lower my calorie intake. It was pointless. I ended up drinking an additional 4 to 6 beers to enjoy any of them. Since then I've been drinking Landshark and Yuengling. I'm not going to compromise on my beers anymore.

@sdereski- Thanks. The monkey bars and run are the two that have me the most worried. I've been focusing on my pull ups in the gym the most. I need to up my running though.

Yes, there are multiple ones at different locations. I know of the Maniac mud run 5k, the Marine Corps mud run 3 miles, the spartan race 8 miles, and Tough Mudder 12 miles, and a few others. They're all obstacle courses. You can find videos on YouTube or their web pages.

I don't see the problem with wearing sweats. I too was a wrestler in high school and yea we did run with multiple layers of sweats beanies and trashbags to lose water weight but we knew it was just water weight we were losing. Karr lake on the Virginia border in the fall is amazing. I stayed there when I was a boy scout so I'm not sure if there are any other camp grounds open to the public but I would hope so.
