You're thinking of BMR which is baseline cals needed to nothing but supply enough energy to keep your organs viable. TDEE= total daily energy expenditure, which is amount of cals needed to do everything including workout etc...

I slice bananas and keep them in freezer (1 baggie per banana) then microwave for 10 secs and blend protein pwd with vanilla yogurt, a tsp of reduced fat Jif peanut butter. I use as a meal replacement. SO good!!!!!!! Peanut butter banana smoothie. It's thick enough to eat like frozen yogurt from a bowl.

You should aim to eat calorie allotment with correct amounts of carbs, protein and fats. Adjust your menu accordingly by carefully assessing nutrients. You'll feel better and be healthier for it and then able to make it a lifestyle habit to know what you're eating.

There are claims that you lose in reverse of how you gained. So with that logic, if you started gaining in your mid section(as most do) first and then limbs later, you'd lose in the limbs first and mid section later. I tend to think that you just have more fat stored there so it will take longer to notice than the smaller…

I'm sure with that intense workout schedule you'd have to eat back some of your cals or be starving. That's the million $$ ?? and I think it's different for everyone..... how much to eat back? I gave up with trying to figure it out and started 5:2 fast. Good luck

@ TOM your body will try to compensate by increasing your appetite to adjust for blood loss...... Drink more and eat iron rich vegetables and proteins. You'd be surprised how good certain fruits and veggies taste when you're REALLY HUNGRY. I mean hungry hungry. Not just "it's time to eat" hungry. Stomach growling- been overdue for some sustenance for awhile. Try it and you might find a handful of fruits and vegetables you can incorporate.

During your TOM you need to make up for blood loss by drinking more fluids and I would suggest eating more iron rich protein. When you're starving- it's your body's way of trying to get you to take in something you're deficient in..... namely hemoglobin :)

My guess is that you won't see a loss this week but will stay the same. That being said- try working out in the morning before eating as studies show you burn up to 67% more fat that way....... BUT be cautious about it. Do a slow burn- really keeping an eye on our HR!!! while using your quads however you get 'em moving ;)

Eat what you want as long as it's high quality proteins, fats and comlex carbs in the form of whole grains, beans, legumes, vegetables,and fruit. So many good healthy carbs! Research and adapt your favorite recipes. It's quite easy once you start doing it- it just becomes a natural thing.... not a chore.

There's room in any diet for sugar and beer so long as you're consuming the amounts of protein and fat you need. After you've given your body what it needs, why not have an occasional treat? It's all about balance and doing the correct planning. KNOW what you're eating by weighing, measuring and planning.

Not only heard of it but did it in the form of HCG diet last summer and I lost a TON of MUSCLE in the 28 lbs. lose.
