Read 'In Place of a Road Map' thread and unsure what to do

So, I'm on about 1450 cals using MFP calculations. Having worked all my figures out, using the workings out in the 'In Place of a Road Map' thread, I should be eating 200 cals more than my MFP plan for 30% under TDEE or 400 cals more for 20%.
However, that thought pretty much terrifies me!
I've switched to MFP from the Weight Watchers propoints system. I lost 2 stone by myself, then 4 stone using the old WW system, but then when they switched to the new propoints system, I just kind of got stuck.
I put this down to the change in fat not seeming to be counted as 'bad' in the propoints. So for example, while carby foods doubled in points value, cheese remained pretty much the same, meaning, technically, I could eat more cheese than I used to, with my higher points allowance that came with the change. We also got a bunch of weekly bonus points to use as we wanted, but if I used any of them I ended up either putting on or not losing, so I avoided using them at all, and had to drop under my daily allowance to see any progress.
So anyway, I decided to switch to this. That was pretty scary in itself LOL
Since doing this, I've been eating less. I've put a lot of this down to the fact that a good chunk of my cal intake is made up of vegetables, which would have been 'free' on the propoints. Ending up eating less than I was on the propoints in order to hit my MFP allowance seemed like a good thing to me, as it seemed to confirm to me that propoints was letting me eat too much.
So, the idea of following the suggestion of that thread's working out of cals and go back to eating more, (when I'm pretty sure I was eating more with WW before and still not losing anything), in order to actually lose weight is pretty terrifying to me.
I have a rubbish metabolism, which I suspect doesn't help. Every diet/plan/points/system I've used to lose weight I've always had to come in under the daily allowance worked out for my height/weight in order to lose weight. When I eat the full allowance, I end up staying the same.
So I'm not sure what to do :ohwell:

Yep- feeling your pain. I was right there a couple days ago and decided to do this:

I would stick with MFP's plan for a while to see if it works (it works for me). If you feel like it's not working for you, then try something else. I've been tempted to try other things because I read about them on the forums and I think they make sense, then I realize that following MFP's method is working for me and why change what is working.0
