cwolfman13, Thank you so much. You're absolutely right. I need to pay attention to my post-meal diet choices. I tend to go for an apple and string cheese and sometimes a Kind bar. I have a book on nutrition for runners. I suppose I should read that ;) I wish you great success on your event! It sounds like you are…

You guys are awesome! Thank you so much! I live in Ohio, and the weather definitely changed quickly. I'm honestly okay with slower miles. It's just that need to stop and walk that is driving me batty. Humidity is evil, but the negative voice in my head is more evil ;) I kept up my level of fitness during my injury. I was…

LMAO! This thread is making my night!

I've been wondering about this, too! I would love to get my kids started. My youngest is 6, and he has some serious energy! Thanks for posting this! :)

That is fantastically enlightening! Thank you for sharing this! :D

I'm in! I was so inspired by those runners that I started c25k this week! My "training" is for them!

Oh! And kickboxing is a blast! :)

Hi! I really shake it up! I get bored easily, but I love to exercise these days, so to avoid burn out, I do LOTS of different types of exercise. I do exercise DVD's at home. Some of my favorites are: Kathy Smith's Super Slimdown Circuit (this is by far my favorite) Health Magazine: Train for Your Body Type Health Magazine:…

We eat that late every night due to my husband working odd hours. We just eat a regular meal. I save most of my calories for evening, and I'm losing consistently (9.5lbs last month). I know people say not to eat after 6 or 7 or whatever, but that's not an option here. I think you'll be fine. It may take your body a bit to…

Hot :)

I'm a social worker back in school to become a speech therapist :) I'm also studying English so I can be a substitute teacher. I bore easily, so I figure why not have double occupations? ;)

You can do this! I also have about 100lbs to lose, and I just know I'm going to lose it. I have absolutely no doubt. I think that helps. What has helped me the most is putting the scale away. I weigh monthly now, on the 1st of the month, and I no longer have horrible days because I'm focused on getting healthy... not just…

I have had the same struggle with food. My transformation began when I realized I wanted to feel good and be healthy MORE than I wanted to eat. I was tired of feeling worthless and out of control. I fight with this every day, I'm not going to lie. I constantly have to remind myself to be kind to myself, because I am worth…

Strangest post ever. Lol

I love the elliptical and also do a ton of different exercise DVDs at home. I burn about 400 calories doing 35 minutes on the elliptical. I really push myself and that helps the calorie burn! DVDs are just as effective if you push yourself. I do a lot of the Walk at Home series, and I also like 30-Day Shred. I'm sure…

Height: 5'10" Age/Gender: 33/Female Highest Weight: 256 (last year) Current Weight: 240 (I'm sure it's lower, but I only weigh monthly on the 1st :) Lowest Weight: 155 (on WW in 2001, I lost 72.5lbs) Goal Weight: 155 (I felt so good at that weight!)

I'm 5'10" with a goal of losing 101lbs. Feel free to add me :) Kelly :)

I am a former Weight Watchers leader :) The program is fantastic, and it can be very motivating, because there are always people at the meetings rooting you on! My groups always had great ideas, and we often brought in new recipes for everyone to taste-test. That was in 2000-2004. The program has changed, but it's still…

When I was weighing in weekly, I always exercised first. I called it my 'last chance workout,' like on The Biggest Loser ;) I know, I know... but it motivated me! I always lost 1-2lbs after a sweaty cardio pre-weigh-in workout. Hope that helps :) Kelly

I think any site can be a meeting place :) I met my husband on Twitter. We couldn't be happier :D

Your face is gorgeous! Beautiful skin! :D

Of Monsters and Men, and Fun! I'm addicted to both. Maroon 5's latest CD is good the whole way through, too!

I'm planning a few things... it really helps with my motivation! I have mini goals with rewards for every 10lbs I lose, but when I reach my ultimate goal I'm planning these things: -Pin-up girl photo shoot -My mother-in-law in England is knitting me a cardigan (I won't let her now because I want to be able to wear it…

I have. I started losing weight in 2000 and lost the majority of it (72+ pounds) without exercise. Once I added the exercise I was HOOKED! I felt SO much better. There is a lot to be said for feeling healthy and not having the flab that comes from being sedentary. Whether it's going for a walk, or a full-on gym workout,…

Thanks everyone! I agree that it's not the greatest choice, but okay as a treat once in a while. I love fruit, so I'll mainly stick to the real deal. Thanks again, Kelly :)
