it may also be because of WHAT you ate, not how much. For instance, if your sodium is really high and you're not drinking enough water to flush it out you'll likely show a gain. I do 1,200 calories per day and do insanity and have been dropping lbs. I try to eat back exercise calories. I really noticed a difference when i…

I think it's important to do month 1 in addition to month 2. Month 1 can be just as hard as month 2 if you really push yourself. If you're able to do most of month 1 workouts push yourself to go faster and get more reps in. Each month has different warm ups and moves so I think it's good to do both months so you keep…

I'm just a little shorter then 5'4" (I'm 5'3")... see my profile picture for side by side. Pic on left is from 3/16/13 (140.2lbs) pic on right is 5/15/13 (137.8)... ultimate goal is to get to 115 but will reevaluate once I reach 120-125

wow!!!! what an incredible transformation!

I think missing days is ok. You wont finish as fast but insanity is all about pushing yourself. My first cycle took 4 months. I would miss days, pick a random insanity workout and not record it for the week on weeks that i knew i wasn't going to be doing it 5-6 days. I don't recommend that. If you're going to do insanity…

Hey all!! I just finished my first round of insanity. Some advice, record every workout you do on the calendar. I tried to be a perfectionist and would not record workouts when I didn't do insanity 5-6 times per week. Ended up taking 4 months to finish but if I was recording properly I would have been done much, much…

Hi all!! very excited for this challenge! please add me for encouragement (just make sure to mention the challenge so I accept :-) ) So, I've tried to set high goals and haven't reached them so I'm going to set a modest 1lb a week loss + 1lb. How much would you like to lose by New Years Eve?? 7lbs (I weigh in each Friday…

i don't have a before and after yet but the first time i tried insanity i stopped after 2.5 weeks... i restarted the program recently & just started my 4th week... i love it! it's still hard & i've heard month 2 is even harder. i wear a HRM to make sure i'm actually pushing myself. sometimes i think i'm working hard but…

hi all!! this is my 4th week of insanity... i've dropped 3 lbs & 2.5 inches on my waist, 2.5 on my hips, .5 inches on each arm, 2.5 inches on each leg... i'm a little terrified of month 2 but looking forward to the results.... feel free to add me for support (just include a message about insanity so I know to accept you!)

I love Syntha 6 from BSN... I have the chocolate peanut butter flavor and it tastes AMAZING! I actually look forward to drinking it. I just add 1 scoop to 8 oz of water (directions say 5 oz but it is just as thick with 8 oz and it feel like you're having a meal with the extra 3 oz) and shake it all up. It's thick and…

Hi all! I just saw this group and thought it was great! I'm 25, 5'3'' starting weight 145 current weight: 142 goal weight: 105... burning 3500 a week is a great way to help me reach my goal & keep me accountable for my working out to meet that goal per week

hi!! I coach a HS team right now... i took last season off because i was planning my wedding & wasn't in cheer shape for this season... so i'm hoping to get back into shape & cheer again next year. I cheered in elementary, high school, college & for an open level 6 team. cheer is one of the main reasons i want to get back…

thank you!!! I usually work out 3-4 times a week. Each workout I do 45-60min of cardio & 15-20 min of weights depending on the day. I work out in the AM so if I over sleep I don't get to do as much strength. I stay at 1200 for days that I don't workout and 1200-1400 + workout calories on days that I do workout. I also pick…

so true about looking 'too thin' i'd rather look strong then sickly... maybe i'll focus more on building muscle then the number on the scale.
