Wow guys, I appreciate all the input! I guess my bottom line is I do indulge, just nowhere NEAR as much as I used to. Until a few months ago, I ate what I wanted when I wanted and noticed some curves that didn't used to be there. So I started making better choices (like one of you mentioned, maybe not necessary "heathly")…

This is always tough since you never know how burger joints "do up" their food. Maybe if it's a huge serving, eat half now and half later to space it out? That's what I'd do.
-
Oh my goodness, dude! THAT...IS...AWESOME! Congrats, brother!

Hello and welcome! This is what works for me, and you're welcome to try it. I've found in my past, my failures stemmed from setting a goal way too far ahead in advance. Now don't get me wrong, goals are definitely needed but my problem was I'd set a goal of say, a year from now. What would happen is I'd only focus on that…

Welcome Veronica! Every trainer's worst nightmare? Well at least it'll make for a fun interesting time meeting your goal! Congratulations and Welcome!

Hello and Welcome Jacklyn! Remember, the most difficult step is the first one, and you've taken it by starting up so congratulations!

I do planks every other day at 1-minute reps for 3 sets when I do my strength sets. I'll combine those with side planks on each side at 1-minute reps for 3 sets too, just to keep it fair :)

Word, thanks guys! I was just getting confused because I was consuming my limit but still finding I kept having this leftover surplus but cool, makes a little more sense. Kinda like "Damn I'm eating my limit but I have to eat MORE?!" But right on, thanks!

This has gotta be the one that's driving me since I started up again : "Whether you think you can or can't, You're right" - Henry Ford I believe. That, and my sig below "Unyielding Resolve has no Conqueror" Also, basically ANY quote about honor, glory or guts from the movie 300! Yup!
-
Awesome, at least now I know I'm not the only with eclectic eating habits! Thanks guys, I'll make note of all of this!
-

Well hello and welcome! I'm looking to lose 15 myself by Halloween so if you wanna trade tips, I'm available.
-
Welcome and hello!

Welcome! Pange's input is solid so feel free to take that into account. I mix up my activities every 2 weeks to keep myself from getting stale, so it definitely works. Good luck and welcome!

Welcome Elle!

I wouldn't look at it strictly in a "losing pounds" sense. I'd think of it more of "hmmmm, what can I do today that's active?" For example, any spare time I have at work say, my last half hour of lunch I'll go on a brisk walk. Or, I may think "Hmmmm, I'm at the gym so lemme do a 30-min circuit, then a 30-min elliptical"…

One time isn't gonna kill ya, assuming you're been vigilant otherwise. Besides, you're young so this one-shot of coffee cake isn't going to derail your efforts. You should be fine, again, assuming you've adhered to your program aside from the coffee cake.

Welcome and congratulations on your first step toward AWESOME!!!
-
Well I definitely make sure cardio of that frequency isn't all I do. I do strength training as well to keep my body strong! Thanks for all the input everyone, I really appreciate it!
-
I fee great, rejuvenated even. Oh and I definitely give my body a day or two of rest. The way my workouts are planned is I'll mix it up every 2 weeks to hopefully keep my body guessing and from finding it's "steady state." But yes, I'll keep the gatorade in full supply.
