  • I always do something. I make Sunday's my rest day. I'll do P90X Stretch and/or go for a hike before I sit on my can all day watching football.
  • When I'm on the treadmill, I use the "Random" setting which changes the incline. I go 3/4 mile at a comfortable (I could have a conversation) then increase speed for 1/4 mile, then go back down to the comfortable pace. I've noticed that I've gradually increased my speed and distance when I'm running outdoors.
  • I travel a lot, so I may be in a hotel 4 night/week. That makes me do cardio more than I want to. I run 3-4 miles Mon-Wed, Yoga Thu, weights Fri and Sun, and I actually run outside on Saturday mornings. So I only run a total of 10 - 15 miles/week.
  • After 6 hrs of sleep, I'm up at 5:30, workout from 6-7, protein shake, shower, breakfast, work by 8.
  • I have nothing but love for those products. In order of my preference: P90X, P90X3, P90X Plus, T25, and Insanity (Way too much Shaun T for me.)

  • I got my Charge HR for Xmas and I love it. With the free app, I can geek-out on sleeping matrix. Try to see patterns in what I've eaten, had to drink, and how late I did those things compared to my sleep habits. I also like to see my heart rate pattern during and after workouts.
  • I totally agree! I also like to watch my sleep habits. If I'm more restless on certain nights, I try to think about what I've eaten that day, if I had drinks after 8 pm, or whatever. It's very cool.
  • P90X Plus - Total Body Plus Love it! A good 45 minutes.
  • If I enter something manually, I just make sure to enter the time so it consumes the "Fitbit calorie adjustment" calories burned.
  • P90X Legs & Back - Even after all this time, it still makes me sweat like no other.
  • When I 1st did P90X 5 or 6 yrs ago, I had results like this because I did NOT alter my eating. So I didn't think the time and effort where worth it. I did it 3 yrs ago along with the diet plan and I lost like 25-30 lbs in 90 days.
  • Make sure to enter your exercise time so your calories burned are not doubled. It works different for everyone; but when I was trying to lose weight, I didn't eat my calories back. Once I went to maintenance, I had to eat them back or I'd continue to lose. Good luck!
  • I love the BB products--If I had to leave the house to workout, it would never get done. I started with P90X about 3 years ago and I lost about 30 lbs. By the time I finished the 2nd round, I had surpassed my goal and lost about 50 lbs. P90X is still my favorite but I wanted something different, so I purchased Insanity,…
  • Hey Ryan, someone suggested I use push-up bars so I could lean forward enough to get my leg off the ground. I did it this morning, it wasn't pretty, but I was able to do a couple.
  • I know if I don't get it done early, it won't happen. So I just brush my teeth and get to it. I don't stop to check email or read the paper, I just do it. And after about 2 weeks, it became my new habit and it no longer bothered me. Good luck!
  • You might be right.
  • I create the Exercises under Cardio; but you can make it be whatever you want when you enter the calories for those exercises.
  • It was the 1st program I tried too. I found protein drinks after the workouts helped--I was still plenty sore, but it helped. I know it says Rest or Stretch on Sundays; but I would suggest the X Stretch, because it helps with flexibility and it was just a relaxing hour after a hard week of workouts. Good luck!

  • I eat potatoes all the time--just not mashed. Baked potato with just salt and pepper or I'll cut up those baby yellows into quarters, shake them in a back with oil and seasonings, then bake until perfection. The calories are pretty low and I still get to eat potatoes.
  • I've done P90X many times and I love it. I'm at the end of Week 2 of P90X3 and it's a welcome change of pace. I think it would be hard for someone to start out with it because there are references to moves done in P90X; but it all happens in 30 minutes so Tony doesn't have the time to walk you through the moves--especially…

  • I'm no Dr. but I'd have to say, No. I'm 47, I've been a computer consultant for like 20 yrs, (I sit on my butt for 12-14 hrs/day) and went like 25 yrs without exercising a bit. When I turned 45, I decided to lose 30 lbs. I exercised, ate better, and lost 50 lbs.
  • This site has calories for a lot of programs. http://www.everydayhealth.com/food-fitness/exercise-activity/calories-burned-conditioning-exercises
  • P90X3 - The Challenge It's my 1st week so I tried to use 24/12 as my numbers. Those Vaulter Pull-ups were much tougher than I thought they'd be. (I'm not sure if it's because I've never done them before or if it's because they're near the end of the workout.)
  • I just got up early, worked out, ate well, and complained to my wife. "I'll do everything you say and eat only what you say; but if I don't see any results after 1 week, I'm done." I lost like 9 lbs that week and it was all the motivation I needed to meet all of my goals. Good luck!
  • I guess it depends where in the day you'd like to add them. Mornings: Banana or Apple Afternoon: Popcorn, Mini Cliff Bar, or Nature Valley Granola Thins Evening: Skinny Cow Caramel Truffle I've never snacked so much in my life as I have these last 2+ yrs on mfp.
  • I could not have said it better. I've purchased and used 3 different programs from Beachbody over the past 3 years and I have nothing but good things to say about it.
  • I want to stay in my routine, so I stretch or do yoga on my "rest" days--I don't want to slide back into my old habit of watching SportsCenter or something when I wake up. It doesn't matter if I've lifted or ran the day before, I really enjoy my rest days.

  • Once I hit my goal, I was then able to eat my exercise calories back and still maintain my weight. My wife doesn't want me to lose not 1 more lb, so she busts my chops if I don't eat my 2,500 cals / day. In fact, I even have to eat ice cream a couple days / week to consume enough cals. There are lots of benefits once you…
  • I've gone through many rounds of P90X and I still think there are about 15 of the toughest minutes in the entire program during the 90 minutes of Yoga. I really like it and do at least 1 day of Yoga every week. (If I'm doing the program or not.)
