I'm having one the day before! 1/17. I am paying OOP :( who do you go through for insurance? Good luck!!

Except some of the afore mentioned fluids actually dehydrate your system. Sorry, coffee-lovers :) (I like coffee, too!) Rule of thumb I was taught: drink five cups of water for every one cup of coffee or tea.

I read ingredients when I shop. And I'm excited to get to the gym... I didn't use to look forward to working out :)

Always game for a new friend :) FR sent!

Guardians of the Galaxy album on repeat... on my phone, in the hands on my 1 year old (has her two favorite songs on it)

Chris Pratt? I'm overly ambitious, lol.

Busy(ish) mom of two toddler girls, feel free to add me! I post daily, eat more than 1200 calories and have big goals for 2015 :)

I used to be the same way - then joined a group fitness program. I'm way more motivated when I know the same(ish) group of people will be there, expecting me or at least noticing when I'm gone. Every day is different - and though it's sometimes hard, as I'm not as athletic as others that have been going for a long time,…

Please do come back, Marie. I would be very happy to support you in your journey!

What are you doing in the food dept.? Personally, I find it takes about 5x as long to shed the weight as it does to put it on, and the holidays were only a couple of weeks ago... it could take a few more weeks until you start seeing results. And yes. It's gets harder as we get older, unfortunately. But still, entirely…

I feel like an odd combination of all of the above? haha. Always open for new friends! Sending FR :)

Tough mudder in July and Sept! Also dropping about 40 lbs.

I haven't read most of the comments... Going from "wanting to change" to making that first, initial change is the hardest part. Step one - toss the rest of the cake. It's only going to taunt you, and your willpower cannot support the "everything in moderation" idea yet. Trust. Step two - Add stuff to your meal plans that…

I'm game! Most of my friends here are inactive these days, my newsfeed is pretty bare! :)

Thank you for responding and sharing your story. Even if I can't relate to all you had to endure, the key variables are the same - I want to be healthy, and I don't want to leave my kids early. Totally lol'ed at the thought of geeking out in the produce sections... haha. :) Congratulations on your lifestyle change!

Do you mind sharing a little more information? What kind of things worked for you... what didn't. Would appreciate it!

Was hoping to find inspiration here today. Now I can mark that off the list :) Beautiful job, dear. You're a serious rockstar.

Hi there :) My name is Chelsea Higgins. I'm a photographer in Northern Iowa. I always loved snapshots growing up, but didn't become interested in photography until I was in my mid-20's. I'm 29 and just launched my photography business this last January. I pretty much took any kind of work starting out: concerts,…

A baby is great motivation to be healthy :) Prior to conceiving my daughter in 2011 I was in the same boat... and had about the same weight fluctuation. I think I was around 185 when I found out I was pregnant with her. While losing weight helped, I also tried eating as many nutrients as I could to get things rolling. I…

Depends... I have super oily skin (and scalp) so I can afford to wash mine pretty much everyday. But I try to skip a day or two between washing.

Awesome!!! Way to go, girl!

Hi Hayley, congratulations on your AMAZING progress thus far and glad you found the forums! They can be a real wealth of knowledge (or not, depending on who is responding). I do love the forums for inspiration, networking and recipe ideas, though!

This response was actually pretty deep, and psychological, which I loved - but the quotation above made me laugh - thanks! :D

In like Flynn! :)

I'm seriously loving this girl's website. Thanks for sharing! And to OP, I put mine in a shake, usually with almond milk + a yoplait light smoothie. It's quick, easy and pretty good!

All the stuff I buy reads the same: 2 oz dry = 1 serving. After it is cooked any discrepancy is probably water weight.

I'm going to be on the lookout for some of this, thanks! :)

While I do agree that people suffering for ED's need professional help, one could say the same for a lot of people on MFP. Orthorexia is just as real and any other ED. Sometimes it's nice to just have a place you can go to hear from other people's experiences. Not to swap tips to be unhealthy, but to learn, to vent, to…

This is a wonderful transformation girl! What have you been doing? I love hearing what works well for others...

Try adding healthy fats.... not all oils are bad. I LOVE cooking my eggs and stir fry with unrefined coconut oil Again, you need fat. Healthy fats will help you LOSE fat. Avocados are great for this! With as active as it sounds like you are, I would rely more on measurements than the scale. :) Hope you find an answer, best…
