You look great! Your skin looks so much healthier! How tall are you? My goal weight is also 138 lbs. I am 5'6".

Sounds decadent! My little splurge is to eat 2 dark chocolate almonds after lunch when I am at work. It is only 50 calories, and gets me through the afternoon. Yum!!

No crabs for me... I'm afraid if I eat crabs I might not loose weight.

I open my diary to friends only. I don't have a strong enough disposition to withstand some of the posters on this website. If you would like to send me a friend request, with a note, I would appreciate any guidance you may offer.

Thanks. I get 1,320 cal, instead of 1,400. I will give it a shot. Do you mean 1 g of protein per lbs. bodyweight, or lean muscle mass?
-
But I find that I still look fat in photos, which is discouraging. I feel as if I should look better than I do in photos.

Me too. I stalled out after losing 34 lbs. I bounce between 139-141. My goal is 138. Very frustrating! I eat 1,400 calories per day and work out 3-4 times/week. I alternate between Jillian Michaels DVD's and an interval training program, which burns about 400/calories in 50 minutes. I am open to any suggestions.

One Q - do you use raw or jarred red peppers?

Yum! Sounds delicious! I'm going to try these. Thanks for posting!

Congratulations! You look gorgeous! Love the hair too!

I eat 2 dark chocolate covered almonds after lunch every day. Tames my sweet tooth and lowers my blood pressure. And only 50 calories....
-
Also, be sure to drink plenty of water....

I agree with ^^^^^

I allow myself a dessert every night, not to exceed 150 calories after dinner. That way I don't overdo it, but I save the calories so that I can have it and stay within my daily calorie goal. I don't feel deprived and it helps with the cravings. Sometimes it is popcorn. Other times it may be sweets. I like the Quatratini…

I have been within 2 lbs of my goal for a few months now. It is frustrating, but I feel & look great, so I am willing to be patient. I know I will get there eventually...

I have started buying two yogurts - one greek and one lowfat plain. Mix as much of the regular yogurt as needed to get a creamier texture. It takes away some of the tartness also.

Bravo! You look like you weigh less than 185. How tall are you? Thanks for the inspiration! And electric blue is a great color for you!

Rotisserie chicken 300-650 mg. This is my mainstay for lunch salads. I had no idea it had so much sodium in it.

Me too! What is the name of your support group on FB? I could use a bit of extra support right now.

I am in a slump at the moment too. Take it in little pieces. Set up mini goals, and build on success. Even if you have been successful, sometimes it is hard to maintain the discipline. Inhale all the support on this board. It helps...

I have been eating Stonyfield low fat plain yogurt for a couple of years, and recently switched to greek yogurt because of the higher protein %. I am having difficulty eating it, partly because it is so thick and so tart. So my next approach is to try to mix greek yogurt with regular plain low fat yogurt. I bought a…

Fortunately, I have never used Agave very much, except to put a couple of TBSP in my homemade granola. I agree with you, Polly, I tend to avoid sugar substitutes. It will go in the trash as soon as I get home.

I generally avoid all chain restaurants, with the exception of Panera Bread. Most chains have huge portion sizes and way too much sodium in their food. I like Panera because they have all the calorie counts listed for their foods. I wish more restaurants did that.

My favorite salad starts with spinach. Add chopped red pepper, celery, green apple and cooked chicken. Toss in about a TBSP of sliced almonds and shred some smoked gouda cheese on top. Add @ TBSP of Newman's light honey mustard dressing. Yum!!

I do the best I can, but it really is winging it, because you have no idea how much butter or oil is used in the dish. I try to log the main ingredients or the things that are highest in calories. Sometimes you can find a similar dish in the database. It really is more of an art than a science.

My daughter loves hummus, so I will pass this along to her. Thanks!

You look fantastic! You should be quite proud!

I drink wine every weekend and I have managed to lose 35 lbs. I stay within my daily calorie goal, and I am usually active on weekends, so it works out. I do try to limit it to weekends, and keep my consumption to 12 oz/day. Sometimes I cheat a little.... But my hubby and I love to cook and eat well, and good wine is just…
