  • Hi I’m back here again, just turned 45 last week. I lost 9-10 lbs last year and it’s now all gone back on again, not helped by being put back on mirtazapine. Now want to lose it again for the Summer. I’ve 2 teens and work 4 days per week, would love to connect with others in similar situations, feel free to add me
  • Ah thanks, good to hear you’re feeling better and that you’re off Mirtazapine!
  • Thanks Moosmum are you still on it? I’ve upped my exercise and have started logging so hope to minimise the gain and even lose but you’re right it will be a challenge!
  • Hi, I'm Helen and in Norfolk, back on it as of today - feel free to add me!
  • Feel free to friend me, I'm back on here today I've started twice before but lost my way. I don't have masses to lose about 3/4 stone but find it really hard to make the weight budge! Also happily married for 16 years with 2 kids, I work 4 days a week and hubby works long hours so a lot of stuff around the house is down to…
  • I'm 5'3 1/2 and 41 yo currently 134 lb. I aim back here again and aiming for 125 initially. I'm very pear shaped so when I go too low I have no chest but still wide hips so don't look so balanced. In latter years I've worked out with weights so I have slightly more muscle up top that helps even stuff out so I'm unlikely to…
  • Back here again, cw 132 initial goal weight 125 then will review. Oh yes, forgot to say I'm 5'3.5!!
  • Your target calorie intake seems very low to me, I'm a 41 yo female around 130lb and when I have 1500 cals per day I will lose although it will be slow. If you're not losing on that but not logging properly I would imagine you may be not logging more than you think! Perhaps introduce some healthy snacks between meals…
  • Hi Simon, I used to work in Hemel years ago! I'm trying to get back into this all, I run a little but not as much as before due to an injury and also use weights a couple of times a week. Good luck with the triathlon training, feel free to add me.
  • Hi there! I'm in rural Norfolk, feel free to add me.
  • I live in a little village in South Norfolk, feel free to add me!
  • Hi I'm 5'3.5 and weigh 130, I'd like to be about 122 but actually I'd rather just be able to get back into my clothes, so it's inches I'm really interested in. I did it last year and then got back into bad habits so am here again! Feel free to add me, Helen
  • To add then, I use Runkeeper on the iPhone 5!
  • I use the free Runkeeper App, it uses GPS and can be used for walking running cycling etc and seems pretty accurate. What I notice is that currently I have it set to stop automatically if I stop running ( I run with the dog so do have to stop occasionally!!), it often takes several paces to restart so sometimes show that…
  • Not sure if you're just after serious athletes, if yes that's not me but I do run. I've also been injured so not helped with weight gain (amongst other things)! I'm just picking up my running again and have got really slow, but am now increasing mileage and pace is improving. I've been off here for a while, just starting…
  • Wow, well done. I hope to have some good results to post when I finish the program, thanks for the inspiration!
  • My husband and I work out together, we have converted the garage into a sort of home gym so when we are lifting we go in together. We don't run together, one because one of us has to stay with the kids, but also he is much faster than me! He has worked out with weights for years so is quite strong, so as we don't have a…
  • Hi, I'm not young I'm afraid...nearly 40 but I am 5ft 3.5 and do run, although less than I used to. Currently run about 3x a week, twice for about 3 miles and perhaps about 5 at the weekend. I now also do weights 3x a week and zumba once so exercise a reasonable amount. I have done several half marathons but due to injury…
  • HI, anyone free to add me, I'm a working Mum (UK !!) to 2, aged 12 and 9 and work the equivalant of 4 days pw. My exercise comprises of running or walking the dog 3 days per week before anyone is up, doing weights 3 evenings a week after my youngest is in bed and zumba one night a week. The zumba is the only session I look…
  • I was put on mirtazapine (remeron) for anxiety so not the same drug but it is well known for weight gain etc and am very nearly off them now having recovered. I did put on weight and perhaps if I had stuck to a diet then I wouldn't have gained anything HOWEVER even with a dodgy diet at times it was only about 10lb! Even…
  • Feel free to add me too, I'm 39 y.o.working Mum to 2, aged 12 and 9. I'm trying to lose at least 10lb, but more importantly inches. I hate cooking on an everyday basis but enjoy cooking for special occasions and like baking, I'm not doing much of that at the moment obviously! I'm eating loads of veggies and salad and…
  • Me, after being good all day I ate 100g of chocolate!!! Oops. However I did 1 hour of weights after then 30 min run today before breakfast so hope I have made up a little. Back on track today and as long as the general trend is the right one you are on the right path : )
  • I'm on every day, but had a bad day today, however it is my 15th wedding anniversary :) feel free to add me
  • Hi, feel free to add me, nearly 40 yr old mum of 2. I came on wanting to lose 10-14lb have lost 6 since the start of the year! I am doing NROLW, running and 1 fab zumba class a week.
  • Hi I'm 5'3 and losing slowly since the beginning of the year, feel free to add me
  • Hi I love sweets, so know they are hard to resist. Currently I just feel really motivated and just know I can't have them, I even have them in the house for the kids but resist. I do however have one treat which is after dinner I have a couple of squares of very dark chocolate, it is so rich you don't need any more. Feel…
  • Yes me, I wanted to lose 10lb and have so far lost 5. It is hard as your body doesn't need as many calories to maintain so you need even fewer to lose, that is why I am doing weight (NROLW) as well as cardio. By building muscle you can eat more but also it will help you lose inches even if your weight doesn't change and…
  • Hi I've been taking mirtazapine (remeron) and was warned that a very common side effect was weight gain. I've never really had a problem with my weight before but I gained nearly a stone in about 6 months. I did try and lose weight but nothing happened so I gave up. I have now reduced my dose significantly and am sticking…
  • Feel free to add me, I'm a working Mum, going to be 40 in April!
