  • I also have a water belt (I like nathan brand)... I wear if If I am doing more than 5 miles. I think that staying hydrated all the time is key. I really notice if I have been slacking on my water, but if you are well hydrated your body can handle it. It does take a bit of getting use to though.... I also have to say that I…
  • I am totally in the same boat... with just a little bit to go I find my discipline/drive gone! I have decided that I cannot think about last week or even yesterday, but get up every morning and do my very best to say with in my calories and get in some excercise. Everyday will not pe perfect (I have three little kids and…
  • I agree with the big purse idea... smuggle in something that is a "treat" for you that you have already figured into your calories for the day :)
  • Welcome!!! Idaho has been home for me for the last 7 years. The love of my life is from here, so I was talked into moving to Boise and was pleasently suprised how much I liked it! :) Although this yucky weather has made me have to get creative with my work-outs. I loved the game!!! BSU #1!!!!
  • I just pushed myself for an hour, even though I have a cold and didn't want to, because I am NOT going to let the holiday get the best of me!!! I have worked to hard to give up for a few days... working out always reminds me how easy it is to eat 600 calories, and how hard I have to work to burn it off. Here is to a…
  • I am only about 5'2" (on a tall day), and my starting weight was 168. I have been working really hard, doing p90x and extra running a few times a week. I also have been eating about 1300-1500 calories a day, and trying to eat at least 40% in lean protein (chicken, egg whites, pork tenderloin). I have lost about 30lbs in 12…
  • great job! keep up the good work!
  • I am 5'1"... I also always wanted to be taller! My dream is 5'6"!!!! At this point I just invest in Great heels!!! I pray that my 3 girls grow up to be TALL and SLENDER
  • I dont know about anyone else, but these kinds of weeks seem to take a 3-6 days to catch up to me on the scale! I seem to have maintained (didn't go crazy on thanksgiving), but I am worried about next week. So I am planning on REALLY measuring and watching what I eat this week, and trying to burn and extra 1000 calories…
  • I would just do one fajita with a tortilla and then if you go back for seconds just do meat and veggies... stay away from the cheese (no one will even notice) and tortilla chips. I also bring a "side dish" that is good, like a veggie tray, then you can snack all night. I also jot down what I eat so I don't forget....…
  • I am a big coffee drinker! I can live without it, but it is one of the little pleasures (and one if the few that I have left food wise) . It is worth the calories for me. I also do brewed coffee with some fat-free coffee mate (no sugar), most days I have two cups. My trainer said it can actually be helpful for you to have…
  • WOW! Congrats!!! I know that you are going to make it all the way! I also joined a competition, and it helped me a ton (I am super competitive) It is just those last 10-15 LBS that are so hard, and things start to slow down... You might try no wheat for a week or two. I bet you will lose a bigger number again, it helped me…
  • I think that this is OK... Always be over 1200, and eat some of your exercise calories (I don't eat all mine ever). I think if you are going to eat more, especially in the evening, make it lean protein and not carbs. This has worked for me.
  • Good luck to all of you!!! Just don't give up, even when it is hard and you will be happy with the results. I will admit there are still things in the videos that I cant do, but I "do my best and forget the rest"
  • Just to add my 2 cents.. I say drink the milk if your body is OK with it and you are still loosing. BUT if you need a non dairy alternative then go for Almond milk (this is what a drink and i love it) or Rice milk. My trainer said to stay away from SOY milk, it had extra hormones and can actually make you gain weight.
  • Good Job! I had to smile at your Halloween food list... I made my husband ( and friends) eat every Reese's peanut butter cup in the house! Or they would have been thrown away today!!! Chocolate and Peanut butter are something that I cannot resist!
  • I had this same problem in the beginning! I think it is a wrong mind set that those of us who struggle with our weight have. Little to no calories does not equal skinny!!!! My trainer INSISTS that I eat at least 1200, but on days that I am burning 400+ calories then I have to be at 1300-1400. I almost always end up having…
  • I struggle with the 5am thing... I have no desire to every get up that early for anything!!! I do enjoy evening workouts when the day goes as planned (and everyone is in bed at 8). I am a night owl, and feel punished if i have to go to bed before 11 :) Thanks also for the encouragement... here's to not giving up, even…
  • It is nice to know that I am not the only one in this boat!!! I am almost done with my 5th week of P90x, I am happy with the results...but an hour a day is a joke. I think I have to plan for about 1.5 hours. I have three kids 6,4 and my youngest just turned 1 this week. They have all had the flu, including my husband. Last…
  • Thanks for the laugh! I have to say even though I am wanting to get slimmer, I HATE american culture that guilts women into feeling like crap if they have a few extra pounds! And as the mother of three girls, I want them to be healthy, happy, smart, beautiful, caring and well-rounded... no matter what the scale says!…
  • I am not really into implants myself, although there may come a day for a lift! I agree with the suggestion of having a good bra-fitting, and then spend the money on a few GREAT bras... it makes a world of difference in the way that you fit in your clothes. At my heaviest i was about a 38DDD and now I am about a 32C. I…
  • I just started the Lean P90X, today is my third day! I am so sore, but committed to see it through!
