All Bran, Multigrain cheerios + ancient grains, and Special K with Red Berries. I agree it doesn't always fill me up, but in a pinch it works. Just make sure to have snacks on hand and add fruit if you can. My "goal" is always to have three food groups in a meal, and it seems to work well for me... so far.

But, thank you for your concern =)

No - I wasn't and he lost weight (and in particular muscle) FAST - he was low man on the totem pole (as obvious from the scarring) and despite our best efforts he lost weight incredibly fast. Believe me - I was well aware, and when you have a hore lose 200 lbs in a month, it's far from simple. That was June 2013 - here he…

I lift because I love feeling strong, cardio isn't my fave, and I love how you can see your success every time you rack those weights :)

Oh and get ACTIVE friends on mfp - they inspire you and help you on your not so great days :)
-
My best advice - eat what you want in moderation and within your calorie limit, have sustainable calorie limits, and find exercises or a sport you LOVE - it makes exercising easier if you truly enjoy it. Feel free to add me :)

This was probably the most unattractive photo of me ever taken (around 245 here): Around 218: And finally, the other day at 205 ish: http://instagram.com/p/ujLa5ts23d/?modal=true http://instagram.com/p/uomIZQM2wC/?modal=true

What a great change! Congratulations :)

Squeezed workout A in yesterday.. Squats - Warmup + 5x5 @ 150 Bench - Warmup + 5x5 @ 105 - definitely felt the best yet for my 105 reps. Need to get some fractionals though. Row - 5x5 @ 95 - surprisingly felt ok during these. Got the results back on my shoulder - no sign of a tear, just tendonitis. I foresee lots of physio…

Way to go! I have about the same loss but it took about a year! Started at 245 as well :)
-
Had a pretty busy week, easing myself back in... Squats - 5x5 @ 145lbs - started at 155 but was eh, so went to 145. OHP - 5x5 @ 70lbs DL - 1x5 @ 135lbs, 1x5 @ 165 There was this guy doing just... terrible... deadlifts with 300+ lbs. Just couldn't look away as he kept slapping 45's on either side. Had another guy come up to…

Wow! You look like a completely different person! Congratulations =)

Fabulously crazy!

I had the same answer from Microsoft - annoying. A few other similar ones coming out are (I am interested in GPS tracking as well so these have it): Both coming soon: Basis Peak Polar M400 Probably closest to what you're looking for: Garmin Vivosmart (no GPS, I can't find the one with HRM in stores herei n Canada..) Coming…

Finally started back in the swing of things yesterday. Squats - Warmup + 5x5 @ 155 lbs Bench - Warmup + 1x3 @ 115lbs, felt awful, went down to 105, got 4x5 but it was a bit rough. Row - 5x5 @ 90 lbs - feeling better about this though Finished with some assisted pullups and planks (2 1/2 minutes!)

Yup, I look like a dead fish in the body pump or zumba classes. Keep it going!

Yes that is accurate. Although I am a similar size (5'5", 205 lbs) and mine - 20% at working out 3 times a week is 1800. You don't HAVE to eat that much if you aren't hungry, but it ends up being a more consistent value on non-workout days =) I know exactly what you mean - I've been at 205 for 3 weeks now.. but for me, I…

Way to go! Those are intense. My friend wants me to do a Tough Mudder next year (ha!) but I told him I'd do a Spartan Super instead.

I've been there, and I (still) have terrible self esteem, but it's getting better. But you got heavier for a reason. Own that - and feel better knowing that you are taking steps in the right direction. Who cares if other people think you are lazy, or think you should/shouldn't eat things? Take that and turn into…

You will never get an 100% accurate estimate of your calories - I really think you're overthinking it. I do "different" activities - aka circuit training - and could never accurately estimate it, so I moved to the TDEE -20% method and have been MUCH happier. And I'm around the same size as you. If I didn't eat back any of…

I like having a GOOD training partner - someone to help critique my form, and push me - sometimes. Other times, I'd rather just be alone and rock out a killer workout. No help on finding someone though, sorry! I work out with people on my football team.
-
Just don't let it become a habit! :)

What she said.

Well you're killing it regardless of the numbers, but I'm not very helpful on giving advice as I am a daily weigh-er as well. I don't get obsessed about it persay, but I do enjoy seeing progress/fluctuations - and I also completely understand that they are normal and don't fret about it regardless.
-
What this person said! It depends on the type of sugar! Natural sources are not something to fret about constantly :)
-
Hmmm that is a tricky situation. I would suggest you are active but would highly suggest starting some sort of strength training.
-
Feel free to add me! I like Stronglifts at lunch, it takes about 45 minutes. Set alarms for your workout, and no matter what, do it! A good HIIT 10 min workout and some interval on a treadmill/bike/elliptical (3 min warmup, 1 min @ 80%, 1 1/2 @ 40-60%, 4-6 sets of that, 3 min cool down for a 16 - 20 minute cardio!

Myself! I hated looking at myself in the mirror a while ago. I hated pictures anyone took at me. My boyfriend took a picture of my and my horse... and I can still barely look at it without crying. I looked 10 months (yup.. ;)) pregnant.

I believe it's the name of the program the OP is using ;)

That dinner sounds... sad! Glad you're happy with your decision though, go kill it in the gym :)
