I started walk/running in my neighborhood at well over 200 pounds. At night so fewer people would see me. That was two years, four half marathons and a marathon ago. Now when I'm in my gear in the mornings I have neighbors I've never talked to before pulling over to tell me how amazing my transformation is and how I have…

I agree with the others about rest and it being a side effect of not using the program, but like anything else with fitness, it's not a straight line. I've run four half marathons and am running my first full marathon in a few weeks and some days I struggle to run three miles and have to take a walk break. It's not a big…

-3F, with a -15 windchill but that's about my limit.
-
How wonderful for you and her! This story made my day.
-
My rule of thumb is 0 or -10 windchill. The coldest I've gone out was 2 and windchill of -8. One thing I can say about running when it's that cold, I run much faster!

Well done!!

I print everything out and put it in a page protector in a binder. Makes it all easy to find, I can put the binder on the counter so I'm not running back and forth to the computer and since I have everything in page protectors, if I spill on the book, it wipes right off.

Santa was excellent to me! Three running jackets (each for slightly different weather), two pairs of tights, socks, a training log, a 13.1 sticker for my car and a pair of Yaktrax so I don't fall on my bum while running when it's icy.

Usually, no. But recently, I set a goal to meet a certain mileage by the end of the year and it's going to be really close if I make it or not. So every time I run, I post my total for the year and my friends have been really supportive in cheering me on and motivating me to make that goal. Once I have made it, I will stop…

I didn't know there was a name for this! Mine is very much still there, but 40+ pounds later, my natural waist (which is a few inches above your belly button) is finally smaller than around my belly button, so I feel like I am making progress!
-
That's a solid pound a week! You should be proud! I've been at this about as long as you and sometimes I feel like the slowest loser who has every lost. Then I remember that at least I'm losing! So what if it takes me two or three years? I'm still living and enjoying my life while making a healthier lifestyle, it's win/win.

I pretty much always have a missing toenail. They just don't like distance running! I paint over the spot and call it good.

Looking great!

Very well written. My son just turned three and has life-threatening egg and peanut allergies and several of the things you mention are very familiar. Especially the bird seed. I remember reading all of the packages to see which ones would even be safe to bring home and then decided it wasn't worth it and took the bird…

I'm late to the party but these had me laughing and nodding a lot. (I just realized my toenails had grown in enough to paint them again and my husband thought I was crazy because I was so excited.) I will add: When someone asks how far your run was and if it was anything less than your PR you reply "It was only x miles."

My daughter's first day was today. It kinda makes my head spin how fast summer went.

I guessed three sizes larger than I am. Then I did it again with the same start point but entered my measurements from January (regretting not having started measurements sooner) and was spot on. I guess my brain hasn't caught up yet!

You're right, it is learning, learning, learning. My son is severely allergic to eggs and peanuts (and minorly allergic to about 15 other things) and we found out when he had his first severe reaction at 10 months old. He's almost three right now and I'm just beginning to feel like I have everything under control and that…

I always thought I was destined to be fat too and am still hoping to prove myself wrong. You look amazing! You inspire my inner ballerina. =) Great work! I look forward to following the next part of your transformation.

I've been using mine to do TDEE -20% for more than six months now. I do my calculations from Scooby's Workshop and then set my calorie goal on the FitBit to that number. I also disconnected my FitBit from my MFP so it does not do adjustments. But doing it that way, it's been working.

I like mine with 3/4 of a cup of strong coffee (cold), 1 scoop vanilla protein powder and a frozen banana and blend it up with a few ice cubes if needed. Nice and creamy! I'm not a fan of the taste of the protein powder and the coffee flavor hides it nicely.
-
I do TDEE-20% too and have been logging all my exercise as 1 cal since Christmas and am very happy with it. I wasn't worried so much about what MFP/people thought as that I didn't like that my macros got changed with I logged the exercise. Best of luck OP!
