Fantastic job on your journey!!! I wish i had the problem of struggling to consume 1200 calories! If I ate what I wanted, I would be starving and maybe triple the calories. LOL. I love sweets and it doesn't take much to push over 1200. :o)

I totally agree. This time of year is the hardest, especially for me as I have a huge problem with sweets and Halloween and the holidays that follow are all about the candy and the baking. Good luck with your journey! ponohonu... you from Hawaii?

Great idea! I was judging by blocks. Run for a couple blocks, walk for a half block. That seemed to work.

I absolutely love my fitbit. It is a high end pedometer with alitmeter as well. It shows steps taken, flights of stairs, calories burned, miles traveled, and it records sleep patterns.

I totally agree with this one! It is really uncomfortable to run. A good sports bra helped for me.

I have that book also and was going to try it a while back. How do you time yourself? I couldn't find an interval timer.

I am also a new runner. I can barely run a quarter of a mile without stopping but I will get there! My motivation is the "Run for your lives Zombie Horde" I am doing in October. Guess I should have started sooner! It is a 5k obstacle course while being chased by zombies! Good luck and I would love to share stories!

I totally agree! I've noticed that I really take a look at what I ate and whether or not it was worth wasting the calories on. Also, in a weird way, my own log makes me feel guilty. I don't like my log to be in the negative at the end of the day so I will go out and do more exercise, even if sometimes I don't feel like it.

I eat it like rice. I rinsed it, sauteed it in a tiny bit of olive oil so that it got toasty and then added water according to package instructions and boiled. I sprinkled a little bit of chicken boullion powder into it before boiling and it came out really good!

Thanks for the info. According to your information here I am not over in my protein. I do show on one particular day my vitamin A was over by 411% and Vitamin C by 243%. Should I be concerned about this?

Great question! I noticed that I was over in protein also and was wondering the same thing. For me the protein helped me to not be hungry longer.

I agree with this somewhat. My experience at express is that most things seem to run small for me due to my chest. What I don't agree with is how it was delivered. She could have found a softer way of delivering the message. Don't let her get you down. Keep on keeping on and your self confidence will trump any bleep bleep…

I am right where you are... 5'5 and 144. My goal is to lose about 20 lbs. I got down to about 134 about a year ago and then gained it back. :( Hoping to keep it off this time. Good luck to you!

I totally can relate to this and this is probably my biggest addiciton as well. Since starting MFP I have been able to somehat manage this but I know that sooner or later the binge will happen. I try to let myself have a little bit of something, but I also notice that I am an emotional eater. As long as I am not stressed…
