  • There have been studies done that prove that sugar can be addicting. It is really interesting to look at. In certain individuals, processed sugar creates a brain response somewhat similar to cocaine. I know for a fact that I have to be extremely careful with sugar.
  • Just for reference, I'm 5'4" and weigh somewhere between 140-145 lbs. I wear anywhere from a US size 6-9.

  • I love this company called Maple Valley Farms for my dressings. They are so delicious and relatively low calorie. I've tried the poppyseed, raspberry vinaigrette, and honey dijon so far.
  • I completely see this in my life. Potato chips and french fries are too salty I can barely eat them. McDonalds smells revolting and like grease when I drive buy. I bought a McGriddle sandwich the others week and it tasted awful and processed and I used to LOOVE them. Now if I only could begin to use this approach towards…
  • Actually both times in my life that I was placed on Prozac, I immediately began dropping weight. And I wasn't even watching my eating habits then!
  • I can somewhat relate. I was able to loose my first 25 lbs relatively easily. Now that I am technically in a healthy weight range (5' 3" and 141 lbs ish), I have been completely unable to loose any more. I will loose a pound only to gain it back. I have tried a few different techniques (increasing my calories, decreasing…
  • It really depends on the day or not whether I can portion but I really have to watch myself with the following- peanut butter cereal (I snack on it dry) Chex Mix chocolate ice cream
  • I don't count the sugarfree gum I chew- it's around 3-5 calories a slice and I chew three pieces a day sometimes.
  • Dannon makes a Light and Fit Carb Control Yogurt that is lower in calories, sugars, and carbs than most others. It tastes really good as well.

  • Self esteem? Actually, I think I look awfully huge in the picture. I somewhat forced myself to post this so that I can receive the feedback from others and rationalize that I'm not the fat cow that I see myself as.
  • I can't seem to get it to show!
  • The idea of eating cottage cheese with anything actually grosses me out. I eat mine entirely plain.
  • It's interesting though because honestly, I need to lighten up on myself. I've been tough loving my way towards what might be my developing an eating disorder.
  • Well, technically I haven't yet. I just want to not be fat anymore. Honestly, I don't think I'll ever be entirely happy with my body. So I guess for now, I will just keep loosing. I'm trying to not let it get out of control but I definitely know that I've been developing some eating disorder like behaviors/ thoughts.
  • I am bumping this one for later!
  • I've lost around 30 lbs and haven't lost any of my boobage. Currently clocking in at 36DD. They've always been big, even when I was thin in the past. I guess I'm kind of lucky in that aspect.
  • Yes, that helps. I understand that eating clean and organic is a different thing than eating vegetarian. I think more than anything I'd like to eat no more processed meats. I am looking into buying from the farmer's market instead of the grocery store for this. I just don't like the information I know about corn fed cattle…
  • They are good! I made the chocolate peanut butter bread pudding the other day. WOW. However, I wish that I could find a cookbook that didn't have such "easy" recipes but that were still healthy and included all nutritional values. I love to cook and throwing something together in 5 minutes is desirable sometimes but not…
  • I'm in the last 11, hope it's okay if I still join in! I'm currently 141 lbs and looking to get to 130 lbs for now. I might push farther once there but 130 is an extremely healthy BMI for my height and should put me in a size 4/5 jean. I've been doing really good- broke through a plateau about a week ago and have lost…
  • Peanut Butter. Mustard- Dijon, Honey, Horseradish, and regular Yellow. Honey BQQ Wing Sauce
  • I actually think it depends. If a person knows that they cannot afford to eat organic fresh produce but are paying attention to nutrition, I believe that they should still read labels and hold themselves accountable. There are individuals out there who claim that it's expensive, use it as an excuse, and then just buy tons…
  • I'm going to agree with those who said Old Navy sizes run large.
  • YES. So much so that I worry about developing an eating disorder and know without a doubt that my thoughts are already mirroring that of those with disordered eating. I'm not sure what the answer is.
  • both joseph's products mentioned by previous posters are AMAZING! but i've had such a difficult time finding them.
  • I'm actually 141.7 lbs as of this morning but I had a rough plateau in the 150's. You can check out my food diary- it's public and I've been doing what I consider pretty good this past week!
  • I've had the mint before- it was good. Seemed expensive for water though.
  • Pot stickers. OMG- yum! Joseph's Pitas. Only 60 calories! Vitatops! Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwiches.
  • I really like them. I've had the Deep Chocolate and the Banana Nut ones so far. My only slight complaint is that they are just a little dry.
  • I have the same problem. I LOVE Joseph's Pitas though- only 60 calories and I usually just use it like a wrap/taco.
