I keep hearing about this "orgasm" thing. Think you could help me out with that sometime?

there are dozens of "bodyweight" exercises that will build the kind of metabolism increasing muscle you are talking about. Try doing 10 sets of 30 deep squats throughout the day and you'll have a major burn the next morning! Lunges and push-ups are great too. I get the impression you are trying to lose weight to be able to…

Going to shoot for 40. At my age that's pretty good!

<<<<< Could we call a combination of both BASS? I like those a lot too!

This, and I set my treadmill to 6 (12 minute miles) and am pretty proud that I can do that for 36 minutes, of course not starting to run until I was 54 years old probably has something to do with it.

Now I know why Grammy's arms always look so trim and firm!

As one of the resident "old" guys here, I thought this was one of the best responses I've seen in this thread. I have to admit I DO notice when a pretty girl jogs by and I have occasionally whistled or said something like, "nice gait." But in reality, I'm actually pretty harmless. I would probably keep completely still if…

54 year old male, starting wt.: 255. So I had two things against me. I'm old AND fat! I started walking last summer and very gradually, THAT'S VERY VERY gradually started doing a slow "trot." When I became fatigued I slowed down. I use a treadmill so I tried adding incline which made me work a little harder. I ran my first…

You're not so hot, and you're not fat...hell, I got bigger boobs than you and I'm an old guy!

Almost wish I hadn't found this this morning. I was thinking of taking a day off, but now I've shamed myself into heading to the treadmill for a little jog. (In my case it's more of a trot!) Thanks for the kick in the rear guys. I needed it this morning!

There's a guy here who lost close to (or maybe over) 300 lbs. He has photos that show him riding a lawn mower and he's too big to fit between the steering bars. Pretty inspirational. Wish I could remember his name. His blog is fantastic!

You have done a great job. You're a living example of why I keep "preaching" it didn't take six weeks to get to this point, what makes you think you can take it off in a month? There's nothing better than to see a happy family!

Had a brain tumor the sixe of a tennis ball removed from my head in 1998. Haven't noticed any lasting effects. lasting effects, lasting effects, lasting effects. The scar runs from my ear to the top of my head. The hair grew back and it's not really visible any more any more any more... have a nice day

My treadmill does not take weight or age into account. I got a HRM a couple of weeks ago and it indicates that I've been burning more calories than the treadmill says.

You have made a remarkable transformation! The thing we can all learn from you is "it is a process." It took 16 months to get where you are. We must keep going even when the scales don't move for days at a time. DON'T QUIT!
Probably the treadmill. Nothing has a more known/consistent workload than walking. Trust the machine.
My wife (100 lbs lighter) uses the same treadmill and burns the same number of calories I do. If I throw a weighted vest on her will she actually be burning the same number of calories?

You're right. The site said I would have burned what the monitor said. Thanks for the reply!
