  • Thanks RalfLott. This is a new doctor who I have not met so it will be interesting. I am just trying to find my way as I go and figure out what works best for me.
  • I have been using MFP for almost 5 years now and in that time lost 167lbs. Then my weight loss stalled for a while and I gained about 20lbs back. I was determined not to gain the weight back like I had always had in the past and started to read about the keto diet. Two weeks ago I took my carbs down to 50g a day and this…
  • I am 55 and have lost 167lbs. Stalled in my weight loss and a week ago started on a keto diet. I want to loose between 20 and 30 lbs and the first week on keto have lost 4lbs. Looking for support too. Feel free to friend me if you would like too.
  • That just happened to me too, today. Yesterday I logged an other workout which synced fine but when I did it today and called it core training it did not show up in MFP.
  • I love riding too. I get out on my bike now and it is so much better having lost the weight. I did almost 12 miles yesterday. I am still not that fast on it and it is a low end bike, but I love it just the same.

  • Sorry to hear about the news, Suzanne. I know I struggle with the same body image and as I get closer to my goal I wish I had the option to even consider surgery, but even if it was cheaper here, I just don't have that kind of money to spend. You know, I watch some of the weight loss shows on tv and one of the big rewards…
  • Hard boiled eggs, baby carrots and fiber one lemon bars.
  • Thank you, everyone for all your supportive replies. This has been a challenging road but one well worth it. I have never been this small in my life so I am almost beyond words in saying how good this feels. I have yo yo dieted all my life but this time feels different. I think the two big differences are having MFP and…
  • I am 52 and have lost half my body weight in 17 months. Still working to get to normal but I will get there.
  • Good morning ladies, Just a quick note this am. I am getting ready for work, have an 11-8 shift so I will not go to the gym today. I got some really good workouts the last three days and this morning it showed up on the scale with a 2 lb loss. I had a great NSV yesterday. I was able to buy workouts pants in a ladies large…
  • Up early on my day off. Going grocery shopping with spouse then to the gym. Thanks everyone for all the great comments on the weight loss. Katla - Hope your wrist is okay. Barbie - Your pictures look great. The latkes sounded delicious. Meyllisa - just brush yourself off and start again. We know you can do this! Sue - Hope…
  • Thought I would put in a before and after pic of my own. Laura in Maryland Ps - Hope this works.
  • Got back to the gym tonight after not being able to get there since Thanksgiving. I swam 30 laps then did 30 minutes of strength training. Felt so good to get back in the pool. Work will still be crazy but at least I have the next two days off. Tomorrow I want to put up the tree and then Thursday I need to go grocery…
  • Good afternoon everyone, Last couple of days have been really busy at work and just crashed when I got home. My main goals for December are to keep on track and continue to loose weight. Also I want to work out as much as I can but that will be hard as this is of course my jobs most busy time of the year. Did have a great…
  • Happy Thanksgiving to all today. Carole and I and the fur babies had a wonderful Thanksgiving yesterday. The pooches got their turkey and were very happy, although Lucky as always though he did not get enough! I decided not to go to the gym today, going to workout on my treadmill this morning and then just relax until I…
  • Good morning ladies, Got up early and made myself get to the gym. I swam 40 laps which is 80 lengths of the pool or more than a mile, so a really good workout. Now I am going to veg out on the couch for a bit and then start cooking our small Thanksgiving meal. I am not too worried about going over my calories as I got a…
  • Good morning Ladies, I have a day off so just relaxing and cuddling the min pin before heading out to the gym. Katla - yes Chi is short for Chihuahua. He is all black and he is Carole's baby. Lucky is my baby and he is a Black and Tan Miniature Pincher. Barbie - Yes, it is great to share in the healthy eating with my…
  • Good morning Ladies, So I ended up working another 12 hr shift yesterday and was beat when I got home. Today is 11-8 then I am off Tuesday and Wednesday. Barbie - Yes, Carole has lost weight along with me but not as much recently. She had lost about 200 over the past couple of years but then slowed down. She is handicapped…
  • Sylvia, It has taken me 14 months to loose the 153 lbs. I still want to loose about 40 more to get to my goal. This is the first time in my adult life that I have been this weight so it is pretty amazing for me. I know that finding MFP has been the best thing in the world for me and can finally see myself sustaining a…
  • Sylvia - I am an hourly supervisor at a Walmart Supercenter. So it's the crazy time of the year. We have two dogs, Lucky is our 5 year old miniature pinsher and Mushu is our 7 year old Chi. They are both very spoiled and very loved. Lucky is really my dog and Mushu is Carole's baby. Thanks to everyone for all your warm…
  • Just checking in with everyone and wishing all a healthy and happy Thanksgiving. I lost 2 more lbs this week so I am still on track. Work is really crazy right now as I am in retail and the areas I supervise are toys and electronics so I come home pretty exhausted most days right now. Not much time to read through all the…
  • I worked overnight several times since I have been on MFP. I eat a light breakfast when I get off of work in the am before going to sleep. When I wake up in the afternoon I eat dinner. At night during work I eat a lunch type meal like a sandwich or a salad. In terms of exercise I would do either one ... before going to…
  • I have tried to eat "cleaner" as I have progressed on this journey but at times it is really impractical for me. I use frozen dinners quite often and used them much more at the start and I have still lost a significant amount of weight as you can see. I half to make this a lifestyle change so nothing is off the table for…
  • I only have a couple of things: Go skiing again. Do jumping jack for a full 2 minutes. Run a 5k in 30 minutes.
  • Great journey and amazing transformation. You are truly an inspiration.
  • Good morning ladies, So I am off for the weekend and then work at least six days straight and probably more. Today is laundry and then out to the gym. Tomorrow will be shopping in the morning and then out to the gym in the afternoon. Have to plan my exercise days for next week. When I have these long stretches of work it…
  • Hi Ladies, This is my first time posting to this thread so I don't really know each one of you individually yet, but good luck on all your November goals. My goals for November are: Loose 5 lbs Exercise at least four times a week (this is the crazy season at work so it will be exhausting daily so that might be hard).…
  • Feel free to add me. Support and motivation is the key to making this work. I log on daily and still have 50 lbs to loose. I am in this for the long haul and will help in any way in can.
  • I have this problem too. I use water but that only helps so much. I keep a zip lock bag of Special K cracker chips in the kitchen. 27 of them is 100 calories and I snack on them as I am making dinner. Also I am going to get some baby carrots that I can use the same way.
