  • Thanks guys! I'm going to try some of your suggestions.
  • I'm not a fan of cardio either, but I do two things that I really enjoy. One is just to explore my neighborhood parks/lakes and walk 3-4 miles. It's my way of decompressing. The other is to take a dance fitness or Zumba class. The music is great, you're motivated by those around you, it's fun and the time flies.
  • I bought a Fitbit and couldn't get it to sync with any of my devices. Even fitbit gave up after spending one hour on the phone with them. Thanks for the advice on circuits, I'll go with that.
  • Don't do it! You won't be able to stop!
  • Hi all! I am Cindy from Maryland in the US and I would love to lose 30-40 lbs. Thanks for using lbs instead of kgs since conversion is not my strong point:) I am currently working full time and in grad school so I'm trying to balance all of these things with losing weight. My weight has slowly crept up over the last few…
  • I need to lose anywhere from 30-40 lbs. Anyone can add me, I would love the motivation!
  • My favorite one is simple. 1c. spinach 1 c. water 2 pears 1/2 fresh lime juice cilantro You can also find a ton of recipes online. They are popular these days so you should find plenty.
  • I just added you Mandy. I just opened my diary so anyone can feel free to add me!
  • Can't decide if that sounds gross or really good:/
  • Too funny you posted this. I'm also going next month (Oct 18) and this is my sister's biggest fear. I've been before and they are easy to get in and out of. You just step in and they have chairs to sit on so you are not all the way down. Very easy fun ride. Another tidbit. Don't take the gondolas on the main canal. Go to…
  • I have found this wonderful app that has been so helpful. It's call GF overflow. When you're in the grocery store, you can enter what type of food you are looking for like "salad dressing" and it will give you a list of all the GF salad dressings available.
  • I will totally do the messaging thing with you! I'm in the same boat. Need to lose at least 25 lbs and trying to get motivated. I need accountability!
  • No, you did it right:) Feel free to add me, trying to get back on track as well.
  • Yes! I need this! Please add me:)
  • Definitely start slow or you will get overwhelmed really quickly. Diet is where the majority of your weight loss will occur so begin there. Start switching from fatty, fried foods to healthier options like grilled chicken or salads. Prepare your meals on the weekend or the night before so you don't just grab and go. Keep…
  • Yes, please count me in! Anyone can add me too, I could use friends to motivate me. I have gained way too much weight and I'm tired of always losing motivation!! Thirty days is a nice goal!
  • May I suggest something that worked for me? I was like you. I HAD to have chocolate every day. So one day I decided to give up sweets for lent (40 days). It was challenging, but I knew I had an end date in sight which made it a bit easier. I also allowed myself to eat things like yogurt to help. The funny thing is that…
  • I used to drink a lot more than I do now. I still like the taste, but the acid is what gets me. I view the carbonation as something that's ruining the enamel on my teeth. In order to satisfy my craving, I will buy those tiny cans in the grocery store (7.5 oz) and try to limit myself to one a week. If I'm desperate I'll…
  • The spirutein has soy so I can't use that one, but I'll look into the others mentioned, thanks.
  • Thanks for the posts. I am also looking to start running. I am thinking of signing up for a 5K in March, but want to wait until the end of January just make sure I'm alive by then! It's a bit scary but exciting at the same time.
  • Either driving the Amalfi Coast or laying on a beach chair in Bavaro Beach, DR.
  • The first thing you need to do is stop being angry at yourself. I know when that happens to me, I just want to eat everything in sight and forget the whole thing. You need to be positive that tomorrow is a new day. This is a journey and you don't get to your goal and everything is perfect. Even when we try to maintain a…
  • Not only do you look fantastic, you look so much younger. Way to go...you inspire me!
  • Feel free to add me! Good luck on your journey....I promise to motivate:)
  • Just started Level 1 today. Is there an easy way to record this in the exercise log? I couldn't figure out how to do it accurately. Oops...just realized someone before me just asked this question!
  • I've been a nurse for many years and now working full time and getting my MSN. Life is busy, but the best nurse is the one that leads by example. Prevention and wellness is the direction of our society must take these days. Your health will encourage so many others! Feel free to add me and good luck with school!
  • Awesome! I was a GI nurse and colon health educator for years. You are making a huge difference. PLEASE get your colonoscopies done if you haven't. A day or two of inconvenience can give you many years of peace of mind.
  • I'm also dying to do this but don't have the freezer space. Does anyone know of a good website where I can get a few pounds at a reasonable price? My local farmers market is closing for the season. I'm gonna add you OP if you don't mind!
  • You can add me too:) I'm new on here as of yesterday. We need to support each other to do this!
  • Hi everyone, I'm Cindy from Gaithersburg. Only in the DMV does the topic revolve around commuting...LOL! I also work for a gov't agency in Bethesda (no, not that one) and would LOVE local support. Feel free to add me.
