If you go into breakfast foods and search breastfeeding, it comes up. I think i'm going to stick to adding it as an exercise though, because then I can easily see how many calories I eat and adjust based on weekly losses. How many weeks postpartum are you?

Hi, I am 10 weeks postpartum and have been getting the hang of what works for me for the past 6 weeks or so. I am a foot taller than you so our calories per day will be very different, but here is what i did: set up mfp goals for losing 1.5 lbs a week, then everyday I give myself 400 extra exercise calories from…

Thanks everyone. I just ordered the clip on. Let me know if anyone wants to be Fitbit buddies!

Thank you! I was thinking the clip on might be the answer. :)

Hi, both of my kids sound similar, especially my first. Is this your first baby who screams in the car? My second also screams in the car/car seat and it is stressful but we still have to go places every day with my older daughter. Some things I have noticed- feeding all day helps with the weight loss ;-), and wearing both…

Breastfeeding mom to my 10 week old son. I am 5'9'' and have about 8 more lbs to go. I have been using MFP seriously again after giving birth and have had success losing at about 1800 cals per day. I actually set my goal for 1400 and then add in breastfeeding as an exercise. Let's keep each other motivated! I have an open…

That sounds good! Can't wait to try it. :)

I am about 8 weeks postpartum and also breastfeeding exclusively. I have been logging calories and just started to exercise again. I have been losing about 1-1.5 lbs a week by eating around 1900 calories a day (this includes the added 475 calories a day to balance the breastfeeding burn). Sometimes I go over by 300…

I watch sports on TV while on the treadmill and think about being a strong, fast athlete. I also look at clothes on Polyvore and choose outfits i'll be able to wear when I lose weight.

I am 5'9" with a boyish waist, bigger chest build. I am 2 months post partum and weigh 149. My goal is 135-138. That is where I look thin & feel fit. I think that would be a size 4 or 6. And sometimes I wear size 8 or 10 in dresses bc of the larger upper body.

I am about 7 weeks postpartum. Still breastfeeding and. trying to lose the last 10 lbs.

I would like to join, please count me in. I have never done an MFP challenge before.

Mine is open. 1400 cals but I am breastfeeding so always shoot for around 1800-1900.

Post your recipes! :-)

I eat mostly at home. Thank you all!

Yum, this makes me want a burger!

Thanks everyone!

[/quote] Thanks! That is what I was thinking. Do you think it would be good to combine bar a few times a week with fast walking?

Try to identify some other emotion helpers and start doing them more so that food as a helper isn't your numero uno. Like excercise (a good walk or run), or a nap, or getting your nails done, or taking a bath every night, or talking to friends...one you start replacing food with a new habit it won't be as hard. Also, I do…

I am also 5'9'' and muscular and have been as low as 130 before and it wasn't healthy. I couldn't get pregnant at that time and my periods were irregular. Your body might not react the same way but people also told me I looked too skinny. Now I try to stay around 137-140.

I think I might build in my snacks. Yesterday I built in a pre-dinner raw veggie snack with a tbsp of ranch dressing and it really helped me make it until dinner without picking at my daughter's food or grabbing crackers. Thanks for all the wonderful input!

That is interesting. Maybe i need to be eating more at meals and more heartily. Thanks
-
I need to do this, thanks!

That is a great idea!

Thanks all! I have always purchased cookies and chips but maybe I'll try not having them in the house. :-).

I think you're right. I also have an open diary and I am trying to lose 15 lbs, postpartum. Looking for some friendly motivation and to help motivate as well.
-
Yes, I just had my second baby in May. I am trying to lose 15 - 20 lbs.

Thank you for this!
