I was just going to suggest that. Copper IUD, no hormones, no hassle. OB will insert it at your 6 week postpartum check.

I think lose skin varies from person to person. Depends on your height, how quickly you lost the weight (and probably how long you were at a higher weight), and genetics. I say go for it and then deal with what comes. With my first pregnancy I was about 260 before giving birth. I got down to 191 (which was 4 pounds over my…

I agree, my weight loss journey is overwhelming as well. However, as my husband keeps reminding me "stick to the process, and you'll see results." That's my mantra now. I stick to the process, and looking back over the last 4 months I have seen results. I still have a long way to go, but I stick to the process.

Unable to message, please let me know what the name of the group is. Thanks!

I'll message you! I have a 5 month old, and have lost about 40ish of the 70 pounds I gained while pregnant. I have 33 pounds left to lose from this pregnancy, and another 27 from pre-pregnancy. I've been looking for a tribe... Thanks!!

I don't really have any tricks or ideas, but I wanted to say that it is hard. I'm lucky that I can workout at work, so 3 times a week I get a workout in there. But when I was on maternity leave I tried to workout at home and it was soooo hard. I have a lot of friends who do beach body workouts and just pause it when their…

I am almost 5 months postpartum, 5'9, 240 lbs (yikes!), hypothyroid, breastfeeding, and I'm eating 2100 calories a day. I didn't start counting calories until I was 5 weeks postpartum, and I had to adjust a little to find out what worked best for me. I read somewhere that you shouldn't go below 1800 calories while…

Congrats on the 41lb loss. That is awesome! You're on the path, you just need to do some fine tuning. As many of the above mentioned, you may want to measure your foods. But I would also recommend adding more exercise, or changing your exercise. HIIT is great, but concur with weightlifting as you'll burn more calories with…

There are so many factors that go into losing weight, and our bodies are very complex (as is evidenced by the fact we are able to produce life!). I played around with my calories and what has sort of worked for me is setting my goal to lose 2 pounds a week at moderate activity level. I don't eat back exercise or…

Hi! I too am technically challenged. However, I'm looking for a group to help motivate me to keep on track. I had a baby in March, and am trying to lose the 60-70 pounds I gained while pregnant (i wouldn't let them tell me my weight at my last doctor's appointment). Since 5 weeks postpartum I've lost 13 pounds. I'm losing…

I am having similar issues (and am also nursing a 3 month old). I assume it is because my legs aren't used to working so hard with the added weight. However, if you have been doing your boot camp for several weeks it seems that your legs should be getting stronger. Unfortunately there seem to be just as many ailments…

The way I figure it, if you're moving and you enjoy it, keep doing it! There is a water aerobics option under exercise. I don't trust that I'm actually burning that many calories, so on days I feel sluggish I'll put in that I'm doing only 30 min or 45 min instead of the full hour that I'm actually there working. Keep in…

I also just found out I'm pregnant with my first (due late Jan/early Feb). I'm terrified of gaining weight, and although I've read I should eat maintenance calories, but having counted calories for so long I'm having trouble mentally letting go of eating no more than 1500 calories a day. I'm going to continue logging so I…
