I am TECHNICALLY training...but I have no races scheduled. Life is really crazy for me right now...and planning a race would add to my stress. My highest was 272. I've almost hit my century point (100 pounds lost). I will still have about 30 to go to hit the top end of my doctor-recommended ideal weight range. It took 2 years with no programs, shakes, meal plans, surgeries, or doctors...just learning to eat right and exercise. In other words...I did the hard way.…

I got a stitch in my side my first 5K...someone told me to slow down and take 3 very deep breaths and it will go away. It worked!! And I picked up my pace and was fine after that. So maybe try that?
