The original Rocky Theme song always gets me revved.

I also like the Maniac song from Flashdance.

NSync and Britney Spears also get me revved up, particularly some of the remixes of them.

Mine is a song called One Of Us by a disbanded group called The Futurists.
I usually place it about 3/4 of the way through my run for the day, or as the last song on my list. I mainly like it because in the bridge, they say "Yes you can, yes you can!" like 100 times.

"You could be one of us, if you ever wanted,
And you could have so much fun.

...yes you can, yes you can!"

I always visualize me following behind a group of runners who are all singing it to me. I know that' s SUPER lame but it works for me, haha.
  • Anything by Eminem, Muse and some Meat Loaf :)

I start off every workout with "The Haka" which is a historical war chant and in current times made popular by the New Zeland All Blacks rugby team, if you haven't seen it check it out on youtube......it sends shivvers through my spine and puts me into a crazy focus for the work out.

then while I work out I like "the pretender" by the foo fighters

I like songs with not only the right beat to run to, but a "message", I guess...I'm all over "Invincible" by OkGo, "Extraordinary" by Liz Phair, and "It's My Life" by Bon Jovi. Believe it or not...Motley Crue and "Kickstart My Heart" is a fabulous race finisher...
