Triceps, (they grow faster than any other muscle for me) Shoulders Biceps Back Chest Lats I may have abs now but I still have a little spare tire in the way. My major goal for 2013 is to see my abs. I do all lifting with dumbbells and my own body weight.

Well I must admit that although I worked in the restaurant business as a chef for over a decade in my younger years and completely understand why the seating is rotated in a certain order in some places, if they try to give me a seat where I do not want to sit I just take the opportunity to sit somewhere else. I usually…

OK I wanted to share my first few days of training and I would like some input or suggestions for improvement. Things are going well and my legs feel good I just want to be careful to avoid strain, stress, shin splints, etc. I am not even close to pushing it. At this point I could probably run most of the first mile…

OK I am reading a lot of interval training suggestions and C25K so I may start there. I am a big believer in not doing too much too soon, I like to avoid injury and pain. Many of these plans have time intervals. What did you find was a good way to keep track of you time you jog//walk in the intervals?

No need to get checked out that is normal to a point. The best way to minimize this is to increase your water intake. You can also try increasing carbs and decreasing protein but I would try increasing the water first.

I did Power 90 last year. I lost 49 pounds in 90 days. It is about 40 minutes a day. I enjoyed the workout and now I use tyhe Power 90 Master Series workouts.

I would ask my doctor but in his opinion someone my age should not carry as much muscle. We definitely had a disagreement. As stated I am not a body builder either. I just think for me a little extra muscle feels good and definitely greatly increases my stamina.

I truly thought if I do not do something now my wife will be a widow and my daughter will not have her daddy before 2012. I started working out and counting calories in December of 2010. It took me about 90 days to drop my first 50 pounds using Power 90. My first goal is almost achieved, the charts say I need to lose…

I am blessed. Mine does 99.9% of the laundry and I have warm fresh clothes right off he ironing board after my shower every day.

I think the eating before or after exercise depends on the person. I enjoy my workout and push harder when I do not eat before working out in the morning. I get up at around 4:30 daily for exercise. If I eat before I workout and wait an hour or two I get some nausea during my workout and it decreases my effort. As I said I…

I would say you already had that muscle before you started. I have been lifting pretty religiously for over a year and I finally can see the results in my chest and back. For me it was a combination of losing weight so I could see my muscles and just time. You already had that muscle, maybe you burned a little fat and now…

If I know I have a social event coming up that will increase my calories I start planning a few days ahead. I start "banking" a calorie deficit. In my mind you can look at your overall week also. I am not a dietician but it makes me feel better when I go over calories on one day but I can look and see I had them to spare a…

As an adult male I view weight loss as a solo journey. I cannot control my wife ad I will not try to. My house Is a mine field of chips, snacks, and ice cream. It is up to me to not eat them and remember who I am doing this for and that is ME! Yes I want to live longer for my family and enjoy activities with my daughter…

A little update. I borrowed a friends p90x and tried it out. First it was not that challenging, I guess I have been doing power 90 masters series for so long I am in better shape than I thought. The second thing was the workouts are not "interesting" enough for me, I did enjoy Kempo though. I thought there was a lot of…

I just conquered Plyo. I could do most moves. I had to modify squat jacks and hot foot. I have broken both my feet and both legs in the past so I did not want that much pressure on my legs. My goal is to be able to kep up with the people in video. 88 days to go!

Totally disagree. I rest every week on the seventh day and I am much stronger after the rest. As far as moving your rest day go ahead. Sometimes I have to skip my scheduled day and move it to a different day. This never seems to hurt anything.
