104 lbs in 7 months. have maintained for a further 18 months. Feel great!

I agree. I too have shed over 100lbs and I also have excess skin around my abdomen. A combination of eating healthy, cardio and ab work is having an effect in reducing it, but it is a slow process that takes time. I have accepted that I will never have the stomach I had when I was 24 (I'm 52 now) but part of shedding…

Fantastic. I too have shed a large amount of weight and have also become an "athlete" as a result. Your story is an inspiration to everyone on this site. I wish you all the best for the future.

I'm sure you're right...lol

Thank you all. I have 20 pounds more to go until I reach my goal and with the motivation I have been given from your kind words I know I will reach it.

Hi Ya, As you know, I dropped over 90 pounds (6.5 stone) since 1 November on about 2100 cal per day (did a week at 1700 but stalled. Upped it to 2100 and started losing again. My goal is 15 1/2 stone-ish (215 pounds). I am currently at 17stone (238 pounds) and am happy with how I look. I have lost very little weight in the…

Same here. It make me feel more accountable. I have consistently lost every week since I started in November. Some weeks more than others, but a loss every single week.

I use it in everything...absolutely everything. It makes a wicked lo cal hot chocolate drink

Bat Out Of Hell...any day of the week. Excellent running song/album

...and then there are some of us that will never completely lose it. I have dropped over 80 pounds and although it is smaller I can see that my love handles will remain long after my three chins have left town. I have accepted that and can live with it (see my profile pic). I will still do my ab workouts to keep the…

I love you too my little Baby Bear. Mummy Bear would have been proud of us both.

I am on week 4 day 2. I have never managed to run more than 2 minutes before and now I can run 5 minutes without stopping. I do look forward to the "brisk" walk though. I feel confident I will make it through the whole programme. I do mine in the gym as well as the weather here in England is s**t at this time of year.
-
It's funny you should say that as someone at work told me that the other day.

I currently work out about six times a week. I average a calorie burn of about 3-4 thousand a week but I ALWAYS underestimate my burn and usually overestimate my calorie intake. It is so easy to do it the other way around so you really need to focus on it. I do three days of cross trainer and treadmill (combination run and…

Thanks everyone for your comments. They continue to motivate me.

my diary is public and my exercise is as follows: M, W, F C25K and 30 minutes cross trainer and then a few weights (nothing serious). Once I complete C25K I will go on the 5K210K programme Tuesday take a break Thursday - Karate Sat 10 mile bike ride Sun - Swim 3/4 mile Depending on the weather I'll give the bike ride a…

Thank you all for your motivating comments. I'll tell you what I tell everyone...I have discovered the great weight shedding secret: Less food in and more exercise out :-) it's the only way. Hard work but definitely worth the results and this time it's for keeps. I use the word shed as the word loss gives the impression I…

Thanks, just had the one from Holland and Barrett. Mixed it with Almond milk. God was it good. I'll only have one a day for now. I'll try some of this when I run out of the other. Thanks

Can't get the suggested drinks in the UK but have found this: http://www.hollandandbarrett.com/pages/product_detail.asp?pid=100&prodid=5955&MCatID=5&sid=0 Will get the small ones to try it. See how it goes.... Thanks for your help

Thanks all. Very helpful

I sometimes find that if you have a couple of days at about 250-350cal more than normal, things start moving again. Hope this helps...oh, I agree, sarcasm doesn't help anyone. Good luck in your journey.

Never, never, never eat below your BMR...this is even more important if you are burning calories through exercise.. Not only is it unhealthy, any weight loss will stall.

I lost 22 pounds in the first 17 days. I now lose, on average, 2.5 pounds a week. The key to this is patience. As far as trends go...in weight loss there aren't any. One week I can lose 4 pounds and the next only 1 yet I had done nothing different, same calorie intake and same exercise output. Weight sheds at it's own pace…
