Definitely the nutritious part . Have you ever heard that this is 80% Nutrition and 20% exercise ? Well is 100% true . I’m a living example of that. On the first picture I workout every day but ate like crap so I looked like crap. On the second picture I did a complete 360 degree turnaround on the nutritious part and it…

Great thread this one as I'm about to have surgery on my shoulder ( Rotator Cuff Tear ) and I know the rehab will be long. I still can workout my lower body and cardio but no upper weight training for quite a while.

Hi. I'm 53 and being a member of MFP since 2009. Decided to get serious about my journey and in March this year went full blast with eating habits and weight training program. So far have lost 15 lbs and am at a good point. I live in Houston, TX but was born and raised in Venezuela.

It encourages me to know that if you, at your age was able to gain the tone and strength back, I can also get it back after the surgery and rehab B) . Because I want to get back into training SO BAD, I will, for the first time in my life I believe, follow Dr's instructions to the "T". :#

Will sure let them know that !!!!

Thanks to all of you for your recommendations . My Doctor told me that after surgery I would have to wear a sling ( not sure if that is the name ) for 1 week . PT starts at one session per week and he said that due to my athletic condition I should recuperate very quick .

Oh yes . Two of the tendons have completely detached and have retracted . It al started with a bursitis per first doctor. He injected cortisone and suggested rest which I didn’t completely do. Then after almost a month I felt on the bathtub and hit myself on that shoulder . From there everything went down hill .

Thanks... very appreciated..

When I started this journey, I never considered to take off my morning coffee out of it. As a matter of fact I added honey to sweetened and milk. The rest of my food intake was very clean and stick to my daily calories. My weight dropped 1 to 2 lbs per week. I don't believe caffeine will sabotage your diet.

I was using Splenda for a long time , then I switched to Natural Honey. I don't do much honey. Per cup, normally less than 1 tbsp. It fits right into my Macros, but it weights heavy on my Carbs. My nutritionist/trainer suggested that I switch to Stevia, but I'm having a hard time switching

Well what can this stubborn woman add :p ? I was diagnosed with Shoulder Bursitis 2 months ago :'( . Went to Dr and he did a cortisone shot and "suggested" REST >:) . Well, I did not rest at all o:) . I kept on lifting every single day :D , shoulder twice a week, got home and pop some pain killer and then next day again.…

I do very clean eating on the weekdays . Friday night is my cheat meal and on Saturday and Sunday is the only time of the week that I allow myself to have a Quest Bar as a snack. The rest of the week is very clean with veggies, fruits and nothing processed. Yes, call me boring!

Thanks, I click on my name and I don't see that.
