ditto! just can't have it in the house. somehow my fav foods just don't fill me up - so i keep eating and eating. anyway, i have a friend who will only allow lemon "treats" in her house because she does not like them but her family does. brilliant right?

buzz it = )

i am always going over on protein. what's the norm?

i was eating back my exercise cals and not losing. so frustruating...

hi, that is a long running battle on this site. i have been off and on this site for a while and i think that for ME it won't work to eat back the calories. maybe it works for those trying to maintain? seems weird though because that is how it works on WW as well. you get more points when you exercise. this is going to be…

i have a polar ft4 that i found on overstock.com. i hate the color but i do like the options. good luck in your search. and yes, i agree that you need the chest strap.
-
i'm on my 2nd shot as well. we MUST stick w/it!!!
-
i do zumba for wii and i love it. it's TOUGH. i wear my hrm to calc the calories burned. i hope you find something you enjoy!
-
it's my understanding that you do. for example if you are given 1200cals per day you eat 1200 - then exercise 500 = and your net is 700cals. that's not enough nutrition you eat 1700 - then exercise 500 = and your net is the 1200 cals you were given to start with. i struggled and struggled w/this question until another mfp…

i just did the 45min intermediate and i burned 502. prolly more cuz i got all nosey and mistakingly stopped my counter for a bit - DUH!
-
i am going to do it today - i'll wear my hrm and let you know how many calories i burn! actually, i'll workout NOW! hold tight...
-
to the best of my knowledge - the answer is yes. i have struggled w/this question over and over until it was put to me like this: if you eat 1200 cals - burn 600 cals = net of 600cals that your body is running off of. (not enough) if you eat 1800 cals - burn 600 cals = net of 1200 cals (or whatever your goal is) and that…

polar ft4 - amazon.com for me love the chest strap so i don't have to stop during exercise to see what my hr/cal are i'm very pleased w/my purchase
-
thank you for posting this - i just ordered mine as well!!
-
so nice to hear - God bless you!
-
i would feel the same way. sounds like it's time for a chit chat ...just be honest
-
i would agree - i have one too and i think it's pretty accurate. did you burn more or less than you thought you should?
-
i think you have it correct (from my understanding) if you eat 1800cals and burn 600 = then you net your 1200 if you eat 1200cals and burn 600 = then you net 600 (and that's not enough!) you have to feed your muscles. on all of the weight loss shows they talk about how important the diet is and how much they are having to…

i htink jodi is right. i was 154 short of my goal 1320cals and it told me the same thing today! i have also been fighting w/myself about eating the exercise calories and another member made it crystal clear for me tonight. you need to net your goal calories. if you eat 1800 and burn 600 in exercise = then you net your 1200…

my minimum goal is 3 days a week for 60mins but i have been doing at least 4 days and throwing in a zumba class when i can! i don't have enough will power/self motivation (whatever) to workout on my own. i take classes - that's what works for me.
-
that was for tjf1215

that's the best reply i've seen. i've been fighting in my own head about this too! on all of these weight loss shows the people are always saying - i'm eating so much, i'm eating all the time, blah blah blah - of course, it's not empty calories but healthy foods. thank you for your post!!
-
i got my hrm on amazon.com pretty good deal and it came quickly! mine was $65 - it's a polar ft4 i hope you find something you like so you don't have to keep guessing.
-
this works for me too. must be skim milk though - filling and it kicks my sweet and/or chocolate craving. sometimes even the sugar free jello puddings work. just depends on the day. and don't forget your water!
-
is anyone using it on carpet? i took a class and loved it. thought about buying the video but i can't imagine dancing on carpet. thoughts? thank you
-
wow, see! totally opposite of what i ASSUME. = )
-
i'm sure it does. as you update your weight i would assume mfp adjusts your calories too. i haven't lost enough yet to know. when doing weight watchers - your "points" went down as your weight went down. this should be the same.
-
i have the polar ft4 and it seems fine, too. it's soooo nice to be able to glance down during your workout. happy shopping!
-
that just happened to me yesterday and today i totally made up for it! are you that much under your goal regularly?
-
i hear ya! its driving me crazy - i hope it comes out soon...
