I have really high readings in the morning as well. I just started taking Glipizide (5 mg) along with Metformin. It has improved but is still high. My biggest issue is hypoglycemia in the mornings with the Glipizide.

I've been on and off MFP for years for weight loss and exercise but new to Type 2 diabetes. Anyway, I've been keeping a food journal for a couple of weeks and then decided to…

Thank you for sharing @peacehawk! I've been to Michigan Womyn's Music Festival several times, many years ago. I too had some life-changing experiences on those visits. Most of them encompass the power of being female in our own space, completely safe from any harm. A true freedom we don't experience often walking in this…

On to the weekend. The hardest part of the week for me, calorie wise. But I'm golfing 18 holes tomorrow and chores on Sunday, which will keep me active. Have a great weekend everyone!

Thank you Gloria67648! I so appreciate the welcoming! I usually start my day off with MFP log-in. I've just started walking to work, 1.5 miles each way and have been so surprised that it's not 10,000 steps. My fitbit recently broke and by chance I put it back on and it's working again. Anyway, thank you again!

This morning I had 1/2 cup FF Fage Greek Yogurt topped with homemade granola, half a banana and 1 T. cherry conserve. YUM!

One Hershey's Dark Chocolate Bliss... or Two?! Give yourself permission to feed your body ... control your portions. The more we try to NOT do something... the MORE we want it! If you just DO IT... it's surprising how easily the desire goes away.

Take a low-carb tortilla (La Tortilla Factory - 110 calories), lavash bread, or even english muffin and throw on any of your favorite HEALTHY pizza toppings. Put in the oven on broil and watch carefully. I don't use low-fat cheese because I don't like it and don't feel it adds any flavor to my pizza. So, I use ricotta…
