  • sonjavon, thank you for the link. I wasn't seriously concerned about it, more curious because it seemed like such an odd thing to be saying about chia. I don't think I shall give it any more thought. Then again if I'm ever spotted on the forums posting that I have seen purple rhinos or giant rabbits, please feel free to…
  • If I understand correctly the problem is that you don't want to fiddle about logging individual veg and fruit. I'm the same. My solution was to add three a new foods which I didn't make for public use but I can pick up easily, mixed veg, mixed salad and mixed fruit. I just added together the calories etc for the things I…
  • The only difference between try and triumph is a little umph
  • "Never give up on a dream just because of the length of time it will take to accomplish it. The time will pass anyway." This has been my mantra through the last 18 months, I'm 57lbs down and just 11lbs off target and at times it has been slow progress ................but so worth it. Good luck x
  • Mine are 15". I'm 5' 6" and 151lbs. Weirdly they have stayed at the same measurement all along even though I have lost 50lbs
  • Me! Me! I'm 49 this year and a week into Beta, I lost 7.5lbs and about 2 inches all over in the Alpha phase. I find it hard in parts but it wouldn't be worth doing if it didn't push me and I don't think it's particularly harder because of my age, just my fitness level.
  • That's an amazing result and you deserve it, well done!
  • Thank you for the lovely comments. I hope you are all doing well with JMBR. I'm into week 2 of T25 now. Shaun T is a big change from Jillian and the style of workouts quite different. I'm enjoying the change and I've found getting into a routine and the exercise it's self much easier (it's not easy but you know what I…
  • Those are fantastic results. Well done, you can really see a big difference you should be very proud of your results!
  • I've reached the final week :noway: I've never managed to see a programme through like this before so I'm very pleased with myself, sticking with it has been a major achievement for me and I now believe for the first time that I can really incorporate exercise into my life and make it part of my daily routine, in fact…
  • So I've started my final week today and I decided to revisit W7 as that was the one that I remember being very difficult. I wish I could say I found it loads easier now but it was still really hard especially the first 2 sets. I certainly managed better form and probably more reps than before, but I still had to modify…
  • I use one. Usually the HRM says between 290 to 320 at the moment and I'm on 11, 12 and cardio 3. Early on in the program it was as low as 260 sometimes but it's stayed above that mostly, even though I've adjusted my weight a couple of times.
  • How about a pedometer so you can measure how far you're walking, or a gift token towards something bigger you want.
  • Thank you, I like the idea of alternating an earlier then later routine, I will probably do this but I'll do an odd number then an even one as they concentrate on different muscles.
  • I think the last week was just a marketing ploy to bump the numbers up to 90 (although 13 x7 =91). On saying that I still want to carry on with the last bit because it takes me nicely to Christmas. Workout 8 was good for me too and I think you are right about not going back too far but I might do 3 or 4 just to see how far…
  • Thought this might be of interest . http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2012/08/17/eating-breakfast.aspx
  • Wow! You are doing really well, you should be really pleased with you're progress. Good luck starting Phase 3,only a few weeks to go now and you'll be on to the next thing (T25 hopefully)
  • Congrats on the completing the first two phases and good luck with three!
  • Wow that's a brilliant loss. you have obviously got the balance right for you. Well done!
  • 1st Cardio 3 done today and I'm still standing, though there was a point straight after where I wasn't. It's really not too bad, hard but broken down into 20 second exercises so you kinda know you can do it . I can't say I was doing the moves as quickly as they were on screen or as competently but I was able to give them…
  • Definitely no wussing! Nobody said you have to do it perfectly, just do your best, adapt where you need to and think of how proud of yourself you'll be when you reach the end.
  • First W10 today, can't say I was brilliant but at least I was able to give it a good go and I burned 300 cals which is high for me for these workouts. I do my first cardio 3 tomorrow which some seem to like and others hate so I'm going in with an open mind. How's everyone else doing?
  • It depends why you are finding it difficult, I'm assuming it's not a time issue because there really isn't any excuse to not find 30 minutes. You have to find a way that works for you but I'll share my experience and hope it helps I find that if I think about exercising I will often start trying to find reasons not to do…
  • W7 is a *****cat.( I say this having done W9).........you'll be fine. I couldn't stick to the 1200 calories set by Jillian, just because it's too low for me at the moment, I'd be completely miserable. I have a target of 1700 cals a day and while I'm no poster girl for weight loss, as you can see by the results I posted…
  • Can we just imagine I've uttered every expletive under the sun in several languages (not that I speak any other languages but if I did I would have used them), I've just done my first WO9 and I haven't got the energy to type them. I can't say anymore on the subject because I'm trying to repress the memory and if I…
  • It depends on your expectations of your own ability and how satisfied you are going to feel if you find you can't completely keep up with whats happening on screen when you move on. I don't think I've been able to replicate any of the workouts fully so far, but I had a damn good go. I have got better as I have repeated…
  • I've done it! I've finished phase 2, just logged my last phase 2 cardio! Weigh in and measurements day tomorrow which I'm part anticipating because I've worked really hard, and part dreading in case I haven't lost as must as I hoped. Well I'll know soon enough
