Love these forums! A shout out to Sara and Sidesteel for being the most awesome people ever and devoting their time to this!

Hello, my MFP friend and virtual body twin! I am recently experiencing a mild form of this too. I know my brain usually takes 3 months or more to "catch up" to what my outward appearance is. I took full-body weekly or bi-weekly pictures of myself since joining MFP late November. In the beginning, I couldn't believe that I…

I don't know ... I would see a doctor and nutritionist and discuss it with them. Do you feel like you still have a lot of energy? It could be that your extra muscles from lifting actually increased your baseline, and thus you actually do need to eat a bit more now.

Ok, I've totally been bad. I'm only day 10 of Insanity (not counting the off day). However, I have been trying to also get the most out of my money that was spent on the gym membership - going to my favorite Zumba, Sculpt, Step, Kickbox, and Kangoo classes. So squeezing in Insanity whenever I can. I had to a few days off,…

@sbbhbm: 9.5 - what a beautiful neck you have!
-
@RunDay - woah. 10!

But ... isn't that what you want? It means you're gaining muscle and yet losing fat! That's amazing! Think about it - the heavier you are, the more you can eat and not get fatter. But the denser you are, the better you look. Win win!

Hey btw, my friend runs a paleo-foods company and a recipe / food blog if you're interested: http://louisesfoods.com/ and http://ancestralchef.com/#sthash.c2YKWVXo.dpbs

That's awesome! Out of curiosity, when did you start seeing the changes in your body?
-
Oh yes! I forgot about the dips! One leg dips - who the heck does those?? We're truly crazy.
-
OMG what?? @_@ I already have to prep talk myself each time before I click play - "Helen you can do this, have faith, look at all those other people who go insane results." Hopefully by the time month 2 rolls around I'll be better able to handle harder. Right now I'm just trying to not drown!
-
That is awesome - I love reading about your successes. Just think - those are the people who noticed and had the guts to come up to you! Which means there must be many more thinking the same thing, but not saying it.
-
I'm super impressed by the improvements from others here! I barely managed to scrape through the pure cardio today, but DID NOT press pause! What exercises are you guys finding the hardest? By the time the vid gets to "ski jumps" I'm usually dead!
-
I just saw this post, and while I knew part of your story, found this incredibly inspiring nonetheless. A picture is truly worth a thousand words. I think your before and afters are incredible indications of both of how far you have come as well as the confidence you have gained along the way. Rock on, woman!

Hilarious - I took a little break from insanity, right? Just returned to it again yesterday, and of course the scale increases again. Just like it did when I first started. Edit - scale has increased, but muscle % has definitely increased as well.
-
Woah, crossfit is tough! I'm super impressed you do both.
-
Back on track! Took a "break" from insanity for three days, though I worked my butt off doing other things. Was super pleased that I didn't have to press the pause button this morning.
-
Haha oops, I ended up taking that day off, but I'm back on track!
-
There were extra sandwiches and pasta in the snack room today. I got a cup and filled it with leafy greens instead, and told myself I'm getting better bang for my buck (figuratively) because salads are just so darn expensive.
-
Hey I find it amazing that the imbalances between your left and right thighs have apparently now been corrected. Isn't that awesome?

Ok, I'm in a bit of a dilemma. Yesterday was supposed to be rest day. But I love, love, love the classes being offered at my gym on Thursdays. Great instructors + great vibe! But ... instead of resting, I overkilled with 2 zumba classes, 1 step class, 1 kangoo class. Does that mean today is now my rest day? Or am I making…
-
Woah, 2 already? Congrats!! I'm trying to psych myself up for tonight's session. Set the alarm this morning and rolled right over and kept sleeping.
-
Guys, I'm feeling chicken today, and at a bit of a dilemma. Yesterday I was scheduled for an insanity recovery day. But I went to 2 Zumba classes (love Zumba) and 1 Kangoo class instead (adore Kangoo). Should I make today a recovery day then, or push through and fit Insanity in? I know I CAN do it. I'm making excuses in my…

You guys - do not do pure cardio within 1.5 hours after eating. I definitely had some close calls. On the bright side - insanity caused me to gain 3 pounds, then lose 4+. Within a 9 day time span. I usually have to die in order to average 0.7lbs per week. My abs seem to already look tighter. Maybe that last part is just…

^^ 100% in agreement. Also, my new little obsession is with that body fat % number and that muscle % number.
