Yeah, but most of those fat free greek yogurts also have 30+ grams of sugar in them. YUCK.

This Also, I love your profile pic. :DDDDD

You could always try raspberry ketones.. Or green coffee beans. You know, if you're into the miracle fix, no real work required, snake oil sort of thing.

Weight loss is simple. It is calories in versus calories out. PERIOD THE END (medical anomalies excepting). So, either you start logging every thing you put in your mouth, find out how much you burn each day via a TDEE calculator ( I like this one: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/) and you eat less than that,…

QFT. Fat is delicious and satisfying and you should eat it.
-
Yeah, sorry to say it's a case of having to lose weight all over, although heavy lifting will give you some serious body recomposition. It always seems like where we want the weight to go first is where it goes last. Good luck!

No. No. No.

The only way to lose is to quit. I started C25k not able to run more than 30 seconds in January, and finished a 5k last month with a time of 34 minutes. Then, this morning, I barely made it a full mile. It just wasn't happening. It's you versus the road, and sometimes the road just wins. It's never easy, only fun…

Why thank you. ;)

QFT. The starvation mode DOES exist, albeit under extreme circumstances. There IS a point where a lack of fat and muscle mass can cause a body to do harmful things to itself. Starvation mode isn't something to be "believed in" like a freaking unicorn. IT EXISTS. Is it easy for someone to get there? No. It's really hard.…

I would personally save the calories and just eat the real thing, but you can always do the pumpkin thing an above poster said, OR make tiny versions of the full flavor kind and limit your portions. ;) ETA: Nut flours are also a great substitute if you're looking to cut calories, and something tells me that pecan flour…

If you take your heart rate when he tells you to, add them all up and divide by the number of times you took it to get your average. Then use this: http://www.livestrong.com/article/78365-estimate-calories-burned-heart-rate/ Remember it is an ESTIMATE.

Uhhh. Pretty sure several people have had "actual" recommendations. She should be using a deficit from her own personal TDEE (easily calculated here: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/) and not MFP because they are assuming you are going to eat your exercise calories, and their estimates tend to be off as well.

1200 net, maybe. 1000 with exercise? No. Here: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/

Hmm. Well, I was at a deficit for 3 weeks and the scale didn't budge until I increased the intensity/duration of my exercise, so. There's that. I'm not saying it's a maxim, though, maybe I should have been clearer there. Sorry. Also editing to add that I think the reason it CAN become less effective is because when you…

I ate celery smothered in peanut butter minutes before I went to bed. I eat until my calories are gone. ^.^
-
This too. Once your body gets used to an exercise, it stops being effective.
-
Yes. Use this: http://scoobysworkshop.com/calorie-calculator/
-
HAHAHAH YES. It is. I did 30 Day Shred and that was like petting puppies while eating truffles compared to Insanity.

Also, anyone here looking to join a group specifically geared towards like-minded people doing Insanity, P90x, Turbofire, etc, look no further than here: https://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/5498-p90x-insanity-the-game-changers Full of amazing, positive people. Lots of really good support, and you get assigned a…

YES. I do it every OTHER day mixed in with my half marathon training. I go 3 days on, one off, alternating 2 days of Insanity, 2 days of running for each mini week. Still seeing great results! :)
-
I log it under circuit training. I'm on week 2, and it totally BUSTED my plateau I was on for 3 weeks. Like, 3lb-gone-the-first-week busted it. I <33333 Shaun T. Editing to add that when I take my heart rate during the workout and average it out over the full 40 minutes and use this equation…
