I'm not a hero by a long stretch, but I have read over and over that lifting heavy weights is the way to retain lean body mass while losing weight and avoid the loose skin problem as much as possible. Check out this post: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/844040-raspberry-ketones-for-the-rest-of-us

Yep. That's all that really needs to be said.

AMAZING work!!

I love you all so much.

800 calories is quite a bit to play with. I would def look at those recommendations from the others! Have a great time. :)
-
Fully agree. Bring on the booze! And OP, you don't even have to necessarily burn it off that DAY. If your average for your deficit seems to be right, and you're still losing, I say enjoy, indulge, and have a great time because life is too short.

I needed to read this today. I'm on day 3 of rest because my knee is achey and throbby, and it has been seriously hard to not push through and do it anyway. Thank you. Editing to add when I mean achey and throbby, it throbs at rest and feels sharp and stabby when I bend it. >.>

4 months working out 6 days a week with taking 2 separate weeks off due to illness and injury.

YES. It really does.

GREAT work and motivation! As a fellow fat girl (CW 175 at 5'4) I am LOVING Insanity. You should come on over to Game Changers! We're all doing Insanity, P90x, or some other Beach Body program. It's a great crew full of lots of amazing support! Come check us out!…

Dethklok. Their bassist is literally white haired/bearded and rocks out like someone half his age. GREAT show.
-
This. A million times this. Editing to add that I recommend P90x and Insanity over 30 Day Shred, because they are way harder. 30DS is like petting puppies and kittens compared to the other two...

Thanks again everyone! You all made my day!

I'm 5'5. :) Thank you!!

"No" carb is completely impossible unless you plan on eating no vegetables, ever. Which you should most certainly not do. That said, I low carb and I've found it keeps me more focused on my protein and getting the small amount of carbs I DO eat from veggies and low carb fruit, and since those things are naturally lower in…

It looks like a really simple 40/40/20 program. Why not just customize your macros on here and eat whatever the hell you want as long as it falls into those macros and isn't processed crap?
-
False. Had he committed himself to eating healthy FOOD, and began exercising, he would still have had amazing results. Just maybe not in the amount of time it takes to film and edit a movie...

Yes.

Well, and to be fair, I think that is semantics. It's about opinion and perception, and I think the campaign's INTENT is to focus more on health and happiness rather than striving to be as thin as possible. There are better ways to go about it, but ultimately I'm going to quote Dita Von Tesse here, "You can be the juiciest…

I fully agree with this. It's like there's a huge backlash against the thinness worship of the 80's and 90's, and IMO it could be correlated with the fact that over 30% of Americans (as of 2012) are obese, compared to the 12% in 1990.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I am way more about "Strong is the new skinny" than a stupid number hang up, because I find strong, healthy women to be the most confident, happy and fulfilled, and THAT is what true beauty means to me, regardless of size.

From what you posted, it sounds like you are eating at a surplus from your TDEE, meaning that weight gain is MUSCLE, my friend! Which is a good GOOD thing, because muscle takes up less volume than fat, so while you may weigh more, your body fat percentage will be lower, and you will look SMOKIN for your big day! Also, it's…

WOW! GREAT progress!!!!

Yep. I have a toddler who turns 20 months this week, and have been told, "You look great for just having him!"... yeah.. no. 33 pounds down, nearly halfway, and it's a battle every step! Great progress and it's miraculous how 20lb can completely recompose your body!

The shot from the back is extra impressive! Are you a part of the Game Changers on here? It's a group focused on Beachbody workouts, and there is lots of great support from helpful motivated people! https://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/5498-p90x-insanity-the-game-changers

I just copypastad this into a notepad on my desktop and will be rereading weekly. Thank you for this.

Insanity is High Intensity Interval Training. It's called Insanity for a reason. Totally bananas. I did Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred prior to starting, and it was petting fluffy kittens compared to Insanity. Definitely an a#@ kicker, but also super worth it.

My comment on the added sugar was mainly to point out that "low fat" things tend to have additives in them that make it worse for you than if you had eaten the full fat version in the first place. It's give and take and depends on your goals/personal dietary needs.
-
Also, are you a part of the Game Changers group? Your story is mad inspiring and we could definitely use more people with a strong commitment to the program! https://www.myfitnesspal.com/groups/home/5498-p90x-insanity-the-game-changers

What a CRAZY difference that made!!! I just re-started Insanity, and I looooove it. Can't wait to do my before and afters!
