That can definitely be a problem, especially when hungry. Eat a meal before going grocery shopping, and bring a list. Go straight to the items you need (don't go up and down every isle).

Yes. This week I am not having that problem, but some weeks I do. I see that you want to be a runner, so I assume you are running a lot. I also run a lot, but I'm not trying to lose wait. I tend to think when my body tells me I need feed, it's probably because I need it, but sometimes it's hard to stop. Food (energy)…

Make those 1900 calories count: vegies, fruits, whole foods, soy bean products, fish, lean meats, etc. Good luck.

I think the best tools are measuring cups and a scale. You can buy measuring cups for a couple bucks and a scale for about $30, so it shouldn't set you back too much. If you eat the right sized portions you will probably make your money back by saving food! Not to mention, you should lose weight (if that is your goal).

I run 10K and 15K on a regular basis as a cardio workout, and last year ran in a half marathon competition. I have not committed myself to a marathon yet, because it scares me :) Way to set the goal, and good luck!

Your weight loss goals should be mid to long term, definitely not short term on a daily basis. Good luck.

Stick with it, because it's definitely about commitment. Water weight can have a big effect on your weight. My weight can fluctuate five pounds throughout the day. I think it's good to record your weight in the morning before eating.

Salads are great. Yesterday I had romaine, strawberries, walnuts, feta cheese, and a light raspberry.

Going over on protein could be one of the reasons you are staying under on carbs and fat. Protein helps in curbing your hunger. For now, I would say it's OK.

I highly recommend the under armour coldgear hood. Besides that, I generally would layer in under armour, wind breaker, and a thermal long sleeve. I also use thick socks and cross training shoes (running shoes can be dangerous on snow and ice). If your feet get cold or wet, game over.

It may be a change in lifestyle, but use all the tools provided with myfitnesspal. Record your food intake and the calories you burn with exercising. My girlfriend found it really motivating to buy a heart rate monitor. I find it useful to read books or listen to audio that discusses diet, exercising, and your health and…

I was able to run a half marathon under 1:35:00, but could not get through the insanity workouts with taking a few breaks. Stick with it, as I highly recommend insanity.

My favorites are yogurts (especially greek!), edamame, fiber one or fiber plus bars, a mixture of nuts, and almost any fruit (careful with grapes and raisins).

Research and fiber and protein has shown that it satisfies hunger better than fat and other carbohydrates. Because of this, they both are useful in curbing your appetite and eating too much food, which is a indifference to weight loss. Back in June, July, and August of 2010 I was on a regular 20% Fat, 50% carb, 30% protein…

Like improvstitute states, lean muscle mass is a reason men burn more calories. I think it's for about every pound of muscle, you burn about 10 extra calories an hour. I have definitely noticed this as I have been lifting weights 2-4 times a week for the last six months; and now eat more calories than I used to, but I'm…

At this time, I would say it's OK to count those as source of water. I wouldn't count coffee or tea (or any drink with caffeine) as a source of water.

Every body is different and every one has different goals. I'm sure the trainer was giving advice for her body and her goals. Banana is a good food to help prevent cramps. If they are working four to six hours a day, two bananas is not crazy at all.

Hello. I did hip hop abs in June, July, and August of 2010. Shaun T is fun, and the routines don't seem like work. If you do it right, you will engage your abs and do some low level cardio (good for burning fat). I even took some of the workouts to the dance floors on the weekends. I think the workouts were about 30…
