• I get up at 3:50 am and hit the gym Monday - Friday. I love my sleep but decided my health was more important. Eventually you get in a routine and waking up that early isn't a big deal. I work two jobs so it is really the only time I have. I am the excuse queen so if I have stopped with this excuse of not having enough…
• Most excellent progress! With the gym being your new fav place you are well on your way to your goal. Keep up the good work
• As with everything we do it takes time, there are many factors in to why we do and don't lose. The variables are crazy, don't give up the weight won't win if you don't let it. C25K is a great program keep up the good work! Even thought the scale hasn't moved you aren't a "panting mess" that is a good thing, be proud :)

• My goodness I am right there with you. I know that I am toning up but I want that scale to move! Why? I don't know, I don't understand why I have to see the numbers go down to justify my progress. I can SEE the difference in the mirror but that witch of a scale... just hates me. Very frustrating. :explode:
• So with you on this one. Just because you can doesn't mean you should!!!:noway:
• EAT! and look at it not as a diet but a change in your lifestyle. Good Luck!
• Love mine! It shows you right there in black and white if you ever question why you aren't losing.

• I used my HRM and then just added the exercie. I am not sure how you would log it and get accurate otherwise.
• Patience! You didn't gain it overnight you aren't going to lose it that way
• THANK YOU SO MUCH! I really needed this.
•
Hang on every post is valid and no one should put ppl off of asking a question no matter how trivial it may seem to you. We are supposed to be supporting each other arnt we all in the same boat!
Oh Amen! We have all had these questions, so what if it is asked again. If it is "beneath" you don't respond.…
• 3.68 in lovely IN, was 3.45 yesterday. UGH
• I started last year, I am going to get back to me no matter how many times the treadmill tries to kill me. I lost 5 lbs the first week. It slows down, be happy when it does. It means you are doing this the right way and it will stay off. Good luck on your journey! You will find you again I have faith. You have made the…
• I am fortunate (or maybe not) enough that my kids are older now so I can work out early in the morning. You probably have close to no free time with little ones that age. Jillian Micheals 30 Day Shred are really good. There are short, to the point and get the job done. Total body work out. Take measurements if you start it…
• I don't know about the BMR, I let MFP take care of all that for me. I just follow the calories. Sorry I can't help there. However the workout you just need to play with it. Looks like it will get your heart pumping so it should . Get an HRM to see what you are burning and play with it. If it is going to work for you, the…
• I can't do 1200, I have tried. It isn't worth it to me to be that hungry and exhausted all the time. I changed my setting to lose 1/2 lb a week and exercise 5 - 6 days a week. Everyone is different, if you don't like it try a different setting for a week and see how you feel. Long term 1200 isn't healthy IMHO. Good luck :)
• 140, would like less but realistic in the fact that may not happen
• Applebee's might. Subway and Chic Fil A have some options. Just plan before you go, many places are getting better putting the nutritional info on thier website.
• I totally blew lunch! Wendy's chicken sandwich... some days I just gotta. Dinner will be better.
• I have the same thing. It is very very frustrating. When I first started having problems I went to physical therapy. For me it didn't work and I left most of the time feeling worse that when I went in. It would take 2 - 3 days to recover from the pain then my next appt would be due and start all over again. Finally I had…
• Completly agree. Started in January just walking on the treadmill at first for half and hour. Once that became almost easy I went to the elipticals, other cardio machines and then running. Don't push yourself too hard at first, you will get sore and quit. Just remember you didn't put the wieght on overnight, it isn't going…
• I was feeling that way today as well. Been working very hard the past couple of weeks and the scale isn't moving it. I came across this in another forum. Hopefully it will help. http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/353423-upset-because-the-scale-does-not-change-read-this
• Remember why you wanted to start this. It isn't an easy journey but every decision counts. You got this, don't gain the weight back you lost on something that will make you feel sick when you are done. The first weeks are the hardest but you will get there. You are already on the right track!
• YES! I finally just tossed it. I was so focused on the heart rate and the calories the HRM was calculating I wasn't focusing on pushing myself during the workouts. Now I just log it however MFP says and move on. A lot less stress on my end.
• I am fortunate enough an exercise buddy. We meet every morning at 5 am. It is really hard to make that phone call that you can't today cause you don't feel like it. Holds you 100% accountable. When she is traveling I lean on my MFP friends. I see all the hard work that they do and I feel guilty for not getting off my rear.
• Back issues are hard. Alot of the exercise programs aggravate it and make you have to take time off and start all over. I have done it several times. This time around I just focused on cardio. Wanted to get the heart healthy and have the added bonus of weight loss. Started with walking, moved on to the elliptical and…
• Couldn't agree more!
• I am right there with you, I have lost 4 oz all month. Interested to see the responses cause I am stuck!
