  • Thanks for the responses. I don't have any known food allergies but there's a few people at work that have done the diet and swear by it. They said it was like a body-reset and were glad they did it but also glad it only lasted 30 days. I am starting RA, too, so that's cool to see there's others on MFP also on it. I've got…
  • Did anyone here experience the skin irritation problem that seems was prevalent in some units?
  • Thank you both of you. Those are good endorsements. I was thinking of doing the same with workouts, in wearing an additional HRM, too. Maybe I'll reconsider selling it?
  • Hopefully you're still looking for an accountability buddy. I could use one too. Let me know if you're interested in doing this together. katie
  • I do that too. When I know we have to go out of town, I start with the first level and clean the entire house, including cleaning ALL the laundry. Ironically, the same reason is a bit like yours with a twist. I don't want some burglar breaking into my house and thinking I'm a bad housekeeper. Plus, it's also easier packing…
  • When people start to tell you something and then say....never mind.
  • Is buying the salmon that's in the seafood counter (grocery store) safe to eat, as is? I am guessing most people fix it there way (grill it, bake it, or God forbid, fry it...) but I want to cut it up and eat it like sashimi or over sticky rice (rolls). But I'm also afraid of getting it out of the counter (without me…
  • Popcorn - good source of snacking without the loads of calories. Use I Can't Believe It's Not Butter spray (zero calories) and for goodness sakes, do NOT add salt. (You get used to the no salt.) Also, salads with the crunchy lo mein noodles do well. One ounce goes a long way with a large salad. Good luck to you - this used…
  • For the past two weeks, I have only been able to do yoga one day (Monday, two weeks ago). No gym, no other form of exercise besides stress at work (does that count?) I've tried to drink water, but have been chugging caffeine more, to stay awake and on my toes. Between last week (end of June) and the week before, I've…
  • Seriously having issues with this challenge. Gonna have to do better about the water, barely hanging on to that one challenge condition. Work load is heavy. No yoga for last week nor this week, save last Monday. Staying late (until around 8pm) and getting in early taking it's toll. Last week was in at 4am. Grrrr. Will try…
  • That's an awesome idea too. Bill's weakness may be taking care of his body and not getting injured, especially his hands. Margaret has a pang for beating on Bill but I rather like watching that, so please don't stop that. My weakness of course is the water thing.
  • That wasn't a rumor, that was a private confession that I posted on your profile... and yes, it sucked. Drank two cups today too with two cups of tea. I don't think the tea counts. Have we made a decision on whether the water with added (faux/real) Crystal Light counts as water or not?
  • Oh my, ONLY water? Sounds like a real challenge... :drinker: Bill, I'm sorry you're having physical difficulties with your hand. I hope it heals quickly so you can get back to work here. Since your laptop has been MIA, I've missed your harassing comments. Where's Kathy, does anyone know??? Haven't heard from her in a while…
  • Simply beautiful! I love seeing these posts. The before and after's are breath-taking. Congratulations, I hope you don't stop here. Katie
  • If this was the goal, I think I failed on that last part. I didn't lose the poundage I wanted to but am still glad we did it. I think Margaret did a fantastic job since she's gotten a running routine out of it! I got my water intake increased because of Bill's last challenge and I think that's more important than…
  • Margaret, thanks for that comment. I feel guilty when I let Bill down but it's hard for me to go from zero cups of water to more than 6 cups. (Although, secretly, I'm glad he cares enough to harass me about it.)
  • Here's my stats, ladies and gentleman. I'm only using the exercise calories beginning 6/11, since that's where I will begin posting for this particular challenge: June 11: 997 (mon) June 12: 961 (tues) June 13: zero (wed) June 14: 809 (thurs) June 15: 735 (friday) June 16: 964 (sat) _______________ total: 4,466 calories…
  • Bill is nice, you just have to know how to "handle" him. (see margaret for the instructions on that.) If Bill really did push you off a cliff, I may have to drop an anvil on his head, so he sees little birdies flying around. And Kathy, you're talking in the third person...
  • 809 calories today (yoga and "housework" at the gym. I got no idea what my total is, as I'm flat out tired as heck. Couldn't even stop at the gym. Pshh...
  • Can I use your "Pshh" in either Words with Friends or Scrabble?
  • Well I guess that's not bad....out of what, 596 actual members...(no sarcasm there people.)
  • You're using a metaphor for something dirty, aren't you. Two thumbs way up...
  • Menu: Baked cod, soup and whole milk (chocolate). Today (June 12th), with Polar HRM: hot yoga 746 cal. cardio/weights 85 cal. jogging: 130 cal.total today: 961 cal.
  • You win the Queen of Sarcasm award today missy.... Nice weight losage (I just invented the word.) ~katie
  • I thought a couple of them played hockey too..... maybe not?
  • I count freckles on my kids (and keep track of them). I observe them on other people. They stick out to me (like Russell Crowe with the numbers/letters in a Beautiful Mind, but) with freckles. Totally unrelated, the books I read are mostly about possession and/or horrific atrocities committed but I'm an optimist.
  • I eat spaghetti raw sometimes. It's my only vice I can't control. My husband has to hide the spaghetti when we buy it, and gets it out a little at a time. My recipe: I break it in half, pour water or Coke on it and "wring" it out, then salt and wrap it in a paper towel to "set". The noodles come out all salty and…
  • Hey guys, Monday's, when the schedule allows, are my cleansing days (from the weekend gluten fun). I ate salad today and will finish with baked cod. Really trying to make my goal weight by July. Today (June 11th), with Polar HRM: hot yoga 685 cal. cardio/weights 186 cal. jogging: 126 cal.total today: 997 cal.
  • Drinking it down as I type this...
  • Kathy, You and I are friends, but you've got a few days on me, it looks like... I plan on meeting your calories, toe to toe, and I'll raise you a few hundred... (friendly challenge, of course, but I plan on kicking butts, just the same). :flowerforyou: Katie
