Yes, I definitely want to get back to where I was so I can chase my little dude all over the place without feeling the burn!

Oh, the sleep deprivation! That alone makes it SO HARD. I did some meal prepping here and there, but I ultimately hate having to spend so much time in one day doing it. I always cook meals at home and take leftovers to work for lunch, so that usually works out well. Thank you for the support, and good luck to you!

It actually worked wonderfully for me, and I did fantastic with maintaining. Pregnancy weight gain and not taking the time to focus on myself postpartum is what didn't work.

Kiddo is in daycare for 9 hours a day, so socialization is definitely no problem! I've never used a gym when I lost weight previously and would honestly just see it as a bigger barrier because of the extra time it would take to get there and back when I'm used to just doing a workout video in my living room or hitting the…

Evening workouts are definitely my preference! I'm hoping that we can work out these kinks and find a routine that works for both of us.

Forgot all about this post, but I wanted to update with a picture of me in my bridesmaid dress the day of my friend's wedding. It was a great day!
-
Lookin' good, girl! So happy for you!
-
Me too!
-
This is exactly my goal! I will one day find a smaller dress to create new memories in. I feel like donating my wedding dress is just another step in moving forward toward the new me!
-
I wish I could have wedding photo retakes! Maybe one day.

You all are so sweet! I'm 5'5" as well.

I use the 5x5 app and follow the suggested rest time of 3 minutes when I have a hard time getting through a set. I guess I could try increasing rest time to see if there's any improvement and go from there.

These look great. Definitely will try!

Birthday last year at 232 lbs vs birthday this year (today!) at 167 lbs.

Looking fabulous! You've done such a great job, and I look forward to seeing your continued success in the months to come!

I live on the Mississippi River, so there are at least some fresh options available. A quick google search brings up at least a couple fish markets that aren't too terribly far. Dierbergs grocery store also claims to carry fresh seafood, and they cook your purchase for free.

I can handle the look of seafood if it's just a simple filet. That doesn't bother me any more than a chicken breast on my plate. It's good to know that others seem to consider tuna to be a little on the stronger side because that gives me hope that I will like more than I expect once I just make myself try some different…

I would definitely try fish tacos! Thanks for the idea!
-
Exactly! I know that fish is a great, healthy source of protein and would love to be able to eat it regularly. I just needed some input from seafood eaters so that I can get the ball rolling.
-
Why what? I didn't ask anyone to tell me what I would like. I asked for suggestions of good, potential "starter" seafood that is more mild and cooking methods to try. Thus far, I've received an excellent array of responses and am really looking forward to trying some of these ideas.
-
Because I've only ever eaten it from a can or a pouch, which doesn't make me feel like I'm actually eating fish!
-
I'm definitely not opposed to buying fresh if it will increase my change of actually liking it. I've never really paid any attention, but I'm sure I can find fresh seafood nearby relatively easily.
-
It's really been so long since I've made myself try any type of fish that it's hard to say exactly what I didn't like. I'll definitely figure it out once I try it again. I've managed to get past texture issues with greek yogurt, so I think I could do it with fish.

I don't see that day coming any time soon, but you go on ahead and enjoy it!
-
I'm pretty terrified of most bugs, and this is what I would classify as "bugs of the sea". Anything with legs, claws, etc. will never go near my mouth!
-
I have not had tuna steaks, but they definitely sound good! This may be a ridiculous question, but how do I know when fish is fully cooked?
-
Oh no, no, no! This makes me want to run and hide!
-
The last thing I tried was shrimp, and that is definitely a no go. I couldn't handle the texture. In regards to fish, I think it's more of the taste. Regardless, there is definitely a mental barrier there that I just need to get over so I can give it a fair shot again after refusing for years! I love Red Lobster's maple…

I'll definitely get a new photo in the dress with a smile once it arrives.
