Here's the link to the piece I bought. She also has several other items in her shop that can be customized as well! https://www.etsy.com/listing/171526923/she-believed-she-could-so-she-did-key?ref=shop_home_active_9

Haha..I didn't want to be too ambitious! It's hard to say what size I will be by then, but I figured a 10 was safe and I was told it can be altered 2 sizes smaller as well, so I think I'm covered!

Onederland is a great place to be! Congratulations on your success thus far!

My husband can be pretty picky as well, and he generally does not approve of vegetables, so I can relate. Here are a few recipes that have been winners in our house: http://www.emilybites.com/2013/05/bacon-wrapped-bbq-meatloaf.html http://www.emilybites.com/2013/02/spicy-sausage-pasta.html…

Yay! Congrats! I just achieved this recently as well, and it is definitely a good feeling!
-
www.emilybites.com I've tried many recipes from her site, and they've all been winners. Actually just made one of them tonight for dinner - Cheesy Chicken and Stuffing!

Personally, I think it's pretty easy to see how much different my body shape is regardless of clothing color, but thanks. My after photos were not planned and simply taken from recent events - Disney vacation in October and 5K race in December.

I lost 90 pounds in 2013 with a starting weight of 271. I just recently posted my success story: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1158634-365-days-90-pounds-with-pics Feel free to add me!
-
My starting weight was 271, and I lost my first 60 pounds in exactly 6 months. I ate no less than 1300 calories. I exercised approximately 5 times per week at a light to moderate intensity for 30-45 minutes on average. I ate back at least half my exercise calories. IMO, there's no need to lower your calorie intake so…

I also feel a bit cheated when I have to log 4.0 or 4.5 mph as walking, when I was clearly running! 4.0 is a slow but comfortable pace that I can maintain at 5'5", but I've just learned to input my calories burned according to my HRM and move on!
-
I'm 5'5" and still want to lose another 30 pounds or so. Not sure what my actual goal weight is. Figure I'll know when I get there!

Thank you all so much for your kind words! I've always found that reading the success stories of others has helped me to maintain my motivation over the past year, and I'm elated that I can help to be that motivation for some of you as well!

For a long time I had hovered around the 250 mark, and I accepted that. After stepping on the scale for the first time in a while and seeing 271, I realized that I was getting dangerously close to the 300 number and never wanted to see that. I also want to have children in the near future but I did not want to raise a…

I just made this for dinner, and it was excellent! Very easy but had great flavor. Thanks!
-
Yes! Started on 12/31 and can't wait to reach 365 days of logging! Best resolution I ever made.

Sounds good!

I've done something similar before but followed this recipe: http://www.salad-in-a-jar.com/family-recipes/apples-in-a-bag I agree that adding a little vanilla ice cream or frozen yogurt really seals the deal!
-
Crazy! Hope you had a great time as well!
-
Thanks everyone!
-
Great idea! Will definitely have to give this a try.
-
This is encouraging to me because I hate wearing size 11 shoes!
-
Definitely going to try this!

I work at a mental health clinic and see Trazodone prescribed more often for sleep than for depression. It's not uncommon at all.
-
I appreciate the input. Sounds like perhaps I should try to increase my walking pace to help with strengthening my shins as well. Realistically, I know it will get better. It just stinks that I was able to get past the mental block after beginning to run and now have this barrier in the way!
-
Found some stretches I will try over the next couple weeks. I am running on flat terrain, so hills are definitely not an issue. Anyone else able to overcome this? Will it improve as I lose more weight as well or is it strictly about building those muscles?

I have 2 Great Danes and a Corgi and am most definitely not able to take all of them out at once, but they enjoy their individual walks! I'm doing C25K right now as well but I'm not sure I have enough confidence to run with any of them yet because it takes so much focus to get through the runs. I'm hoping I can bring them…

Panera's fat free poppyseed dressing is delish.

I've made this before, and it's definitely one of my favorites when I want a really delicious snack that doesn't feel healthy at all. I love adding a scoop of vanilla ice cream, too!
