  • Me too! Whew, feels good to not be alone in my opinion of this.
  • I started the Third phase: Lean this week. Very intense and it's great but I am DEF. needing my rest/recovery day. And didn't take it the previous months. I use: Stairmaster TwistLock: http://www.amazon.com/StairMaster-TwistLock-Adjustable-Dumbbells-100-Pounds/dp/B005ASREVK They were pretty expensive but I'm very short and…
  • Ah-mahzing! I love it, but your gym intimidates me (I do my workouts at home).
  • Me Me Me!!!! I love talking about how fabulous I am and how inspiring I can be. It's all true. Seriously. I lost 55lbs prior to joining MFP. Have lost another 4 since (slow going but I've fixed my problem). Anyhoo, when I started all this I'd talk to my bestie while on the treadmill. After a few months, SHE started doing…
  • I'm sure it's been said, sorry, didn't read thru it all. Your body turns carbs into sugar. They're basically sugar. Sugar builds fat. If you restrict your carbs you lower your sugar and thus don't build more fat.. The less your body is turning things into sugar/fat, addidng into the equation exercise, the more likely it is…
  • I was in the same boat and started P90X. However, most workouts are 60min and the Yoga is 90. Just too long for what my current schedule its. And, I'll be honest, I think it was a little much for me and where I am now. I gave it two weeks and have switched to ChaLean Extreme. I like it a lot and workouts are 38-45min. Very…
  • Thank you very much for posting. I was wanting to do exactly this when I finish my current program. It won't be until March, tho.
  • Wow, thanks everyone! I have a MUCH better idea what I'm going to do: bag, earphones, bottle and towel (I just don't think she'll wear a HRM....hopefully that will change once she gets into a workout groove, tho). J
  • Well, we weren't allowed to take food out of the dining hall at the school I went to. So, that would'nt have been an option for me. My best advice would be to drink a big glass of water....wait a few minutes..uh, or 10 (this works for me) and hopefully by then you've fought your inner self and no longer MUST have that…
  • Good for you! I absolutely loved the Insanity program. I like that the workouts are not super long (at least for the first 5wks). My kids even tried to join in w/ me. I believe there will be a handful of days that WILL include both a Fit Test AND a workout.
  • I didn't even notice the spelling, LOL. I did TF in the fall. I didn't lose much wt but my eating was not where it should've been (I have corrected this default). I enjoyed it a lot. Very high energy. It got me ready and able to handle Insanity afterwards (dare I say I enjoyed that WAY more!).
  • I've had this issue, too. My husband is Chinese and we eat more of his preferred foods than my American palate. When I've gone into the database I look for it in the most basic description. For example: JamPong I searched as - Korean soup noodles and found it that way. I've been lucky to find a lot of the foods we eat…
  • First, I'm very sorry this happened. I know what it's like to WANT to keep going. But, in this case I think you should rest it for up to 2wks. Depending on your discomfort. Most strains/discomfort are better w/ anti-inflammatories in that amt of time. I would recommend any non-weight bearing exercise (such as I recommended…
  • Insanity involves a lot of pressure/pounding. You might want to stick to something like a stationary bike or elliptical. I've had foot problems in the past. They DO take forever to heal. Mine has been ok for well over yr w/o any problems (hence why I thought I'd give Insanity a go....I had zero problems). Just FYI: I had a…
  • Mine is (and my husband agrees) is a tummy tuck and possibly breast lift. I know there's going to be stuff I will never get rid of. I've already got the name of the Dr. and about how much it costs. I want to meet my goal, maintain my goal for at least 6mos and then do surgery.
  • I have this problem....only the jealous person is my Mom. I am an only child but it seems she can never just BE happy for me. It's always about her. Like, I haven't been kicking my A_ _ for a year (I've lost over 50# so far). I just don't bring up my wt loss, or exercise, or what size I wear or that I need new clothes,…
  • Here's a hybrid schedule I found (and was thinking of doing) if you're interested: http://www.decidetostayfit.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2011/08/p90x-turbofire-hybrid.pdf I did TurboFire before Insanity (which I'm almost finished with) and was going to do P90X next. I LOVED TurboFire but I agree it is a VERY different…

  • I've been using nutrisystem for almost 2 mos (although I took some time off during the holidays b/c of vacation). I am in the minority in that I really like it. It's super convenient for me and I actually like all but two things I've tried. I also really like the lunch meal bars. These work great for when I go out for…
